Meg Ryan made arrived to the premiere of her new movie, "The Deal" which was screened at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival, wearing a long black dress and black boots. People are saying that Katherine Heigl is the new Meg Ryan. How do we feel about that? Meg really owned the whole romantic comedy genre for ages. Isn't it too soon to be giving away her title?

Why does Meg Ryan always look a mess?
And I always feel like she never really had a rangein her roles...
Andddd I dont want to get started on how much I hate Katherine Heigl and how every word out of her mouth is so tactless and inconsiderate.
^^how can you say she never really had a reign on her roles?? Of course she did. She was the queen of romantic comedies: When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle, etc etc. All the movies she made in the 90s were romantic comedies.
she sucks! i had read somewhere a long time ago that she is really rude in person. i think she is a tired old wench!

IMO, there will never be a "new" Meg Ryan!! She was the best.

Poor Meg - she looks almost normal again in that first picture. Then I clicked through to the other ones ... nope, still crazy joker face. All I can think is she must have had a real personal crisis to do that to herself. She was so cute and would have aged well naturally, I think.

I used to love her (since her As The World Turns days) but she has been a disgusting, embarassing mess for years now. Starting with her public, showy, adulterous affair with Russell Crowe. She is just gross now!

I actually just met her at this premiere, and she is super down to earth and surprisingly nice.
Most of the negative things that have been written about Meg Ryan are untrue. Ironically, because she has chosen to retain her dignity and not address these negative things publicly, the myths remain alive. The media simply makes up what they want to, in order to sell magazines, newspapers, etc. However, the truth remains locked up for various reasons. For example - it is unknown to the public - to this day - why Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman broke up. And this is the way it should be - it is a private matter. Same with Meg Ryan - the public does not know the true details of her private life and they shouldn't know - so the media just makes things up. Meg will have more success. Just give it a little more time.
meg ryan sucks and has always sucked
I can't watch any new movies with her in it. She looks like a freak, she's ruined herself. Why do these people do this to themselves? So many have completely frankentized themselves into this mesh of plastic, and I simply can't watch them. No way!!!
I still love Meg Ryan. Cute girl with a cute smile. I wish she didn't fall into the pressure of Hollywood and have whatever Plastic Surgery she had. She didn't need it!
She use to be so beautiful. i use to wish to look more like her. then i opened a people mag and saw a add for her new movie and it didnt believe it. i didnt even reconize her at first. i thought it was someone else. what did she do to herself. i hope whatever she did she can undo. it looks aweful. she deffinetaly didnt get her money worth out of that plastic surgery. ugh.

Yes maybe she has a pretty face, or not. One thing for sure is, her acting sucks. Meg Ryan in "Proof of life" is unbearable. If it's not the plot and the performance of Russell Crowe, I would have switched off my TV. The critics were right, she expressed no inner conflict nor anything more than a mounting tension. Angelina Jolie and Scarlett Johannson are much better actresses, and they don't even have as much "acting experience" as Meg Ryan does. Meg Ryan is the only one in Hollywood that never progresses in acting. She is good at nothing but rolling her blue eye balls and giving that standard Meg Ryan smile in every role she plays. Watch her in her 1994 movie "I.Q.", and compare with "Proof of Life", and you'll see how true this is. Just wonder why some of the movie makers are still after her. Give her a break. Give everybody a break.
