Janis Winehouse, Amy’s mom is struggling to deal with her daughter’s addictions and has come out in a rather shocking interview saying that she is preparing herself in case of Amy’s death.
“I’ve already come to terms with her dead. I’ve steeled myself to ask her what ground she wants to be buried in, which cemetery. Because the drugs will get her if she stays on this road.”
She talks about seeing her daughter in a video using a crack pipe.
“I’ve known for a long time that my daughter has problems,” Janis said. “But seeing it on screen rammed it home. I realize my daughter could be dead within the year”
She compares Amy to Britney and Heath.
“I look at Heath Ledger and Britney. She’s on their path. It’s like watching a car crash – this person throwing all these gifts away.”
But hopefully things won’t get to that point since Amy is now in rehab, and according to The Sun, doing well there.
“She has been ill and is withdrawing but at least she is sticking with it as she detoxes. With her family’s support we are hopeful that there is finally light at the end of the tunnel as she weans herself off drugs. She will stay in rehab for as long as it takes even if it is three or four weeks. Nobody is saying it will be easy, but things are looking good at the moment and doctors are encouraged.”
Ugh. Such an awful position to be in. I wouldn’t wish that on any mother.

I don’t think she thought it trough… I don’t think she meant it to disrespect anybody… I guess she mentioned him because he was a young talented person who passed prematurely.
