Police Escort Britney Spears To Hospital To "Get Help"

The plan was in place for a few hours before the horde of police arrived to escort Britney Spears to the hospital. "A police convoy, stretching the length of a football field, accompanied the ambulance as it drove down Coldwater Canyon Boulevard." Why so many law enforcers? It has been said to keep the paparazzi a safe distance away.

The North Hollywood Police Department dispatched about eight officers to Spears' hilltop house in Studio City about 12:55 a.m. Thursday, said the official, who asked not to be identified because he's not authorized to comment publicly. The group at Spears' house included plainclothes officers, motorcycle police, ambulance crews and some police "brass," the official said. The plan to transport Spears had been in the works for the better part of the day, the official said.

Maybe she finally understands that she needs some help. Hopefully, this is the beginning of the end to the madness. Unfortunately, it sounds like something bad has happened as the police broke open her community gates to get in, and her father was seen crying. Lynn and Sam both accompanied Britney to the hospital.
