It's The Beginning Of The End Of The Spice Girls... Again

Well, that was quick wasn't it? Looks like Spice Girl Mel C wants no part of this reunion and is pulling the plug earlier than originally anticipated. She's had enough and wants to go back to doing her own thing. I wasn't really aware she was doing her own thing? Readers from overseas, was she popular when she was solo?
"Geri and Victoria have been loving the attention and adulation the tour has been bringing the girls in the UK and North America. Mel B has really enjoyed being on stage and performing again. And Emma has found it hard with a young son but was prepared to carried on. But Mel C is the one who always insisted the reunion should be only short-term. Now she wants to go back to doing her own thing. Because they couldn't all agree the extra tour dates have been pulled. Touring has been harder on all the girls this time round. But all of them could have been persuaded to continue - apart from Mel C."

The band yesterday announced their gig in Toronto on February 26 will be their last. Originally, they were supposed to hit up Australia, China, South Africa and Argentina as well.

Mel C has been doing her own thing for awhile now. I think she is the one with the most talent. She had a song out " I Turn To You". It was sort of a mix dance/club. It sounded great. . Victoria popped out a couple of kids and got lucky.

Mel C is huge in Europe, she has released I think 4 or 5 albums, and each one of them is unique! I always thought she was the only talented one.

Check out her latest songs: Carolyna, This Time, You´ll get yours(absolutely fantastic), and the first ones she released like I turn to you or Northern Star.

She´s a great singer, and I adore her!!!

I heard they canceled dates because of poor sales in South America and other countries. I think I believe that reason over Mel C just wanting out. I bet this is a BS story.

Well, I live in Iceland and yes she has had some hits but that was years ago!!! I van´t imagine anything she´s doing at the moment other than the spice girls reunion. And I just can´t believe that the tour isn´t selling tickets. Weren´t they a hit everywhere?

Apparently she was doing some solo gigs while the tour was going on and they got a great response. Heard the one in LA was acoustic and really good.

The fact that they got this far on their tour amazes me. They were terrible then and they are terrible now!!! This does not surprise me at all!

While Mel C has had quite a few solo hits, none of which were great at all. She is a bit too nasal and shouts way too much. I think she should just be grateful for the success that the Spice Girls brought her and stop trying to distance herself from "that image" - no one has ever mistaken the Spice Girls for having any real talent, so she should just give in and let everyone enjoy them for the entertainers that they are.

they are so last milleniuim it is scary. Although they do not look bad but this kiddie train is annoying. What they were singing about, what they represented themselves in the past, their image just does not cut it with all these children unless, of course, their new audience is 10yrs old, which I am sure of.

Yesterday I read in one of the Sunday papers that in fact Victoria Beckham pulled the plug because she wants to quit the music business and concentrate on her fashion line.
