Britney Spears’ Hospitalization Has Been Extended To 14 Days

For some reason, I expected Britney Spears to get released the same way she did the first time she was admitted to the hospital. But, that isn’t the case. Looks like her stay has officially been extended to fourteen days. However, if Britney or her psychiatrist demands it, they have no choice but to let her go.

What is life like for Spears at the Stewart & Lynda Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital at UCLA? According to the patient’s bill of rights at the hospital, she is allowed to wear her own clothes and keep her own personal possessions, including toiletries. She may also see visitors every day and make and receive phone calls – ” but not on her personal cell phone. There are pay phones on the floor.

When I was hospitalized for those months while pregnant with my second child, doctors and staffers used to wake me up twice at night to ask me how I was feeling and take my temperature (yes, every night). By the last few weeks, if I heard the door open I would scream “NO!” and “NO!” because their questions were “Are you contracting?” and “Do you feel any other pain?”. Sometimes that would work and other times it would make the doctor ask me more questions because I annoyed them. I hated it… But Britney has it worse – People Magazine is reporting that she is spoken to every HOUR even at night.

she needs to stay there longer than 14 days. maybe some weeks?

Every hour would drive me batty – literally ! Interrupting your REM sleep like that would make you delusional.

I seriously doubt they wake her up every hour. That is part of her problem- lack of sleep. I read the statement yesterday; I did not interpret it the same way you did.

When I was in the hospital last year after the birth of my daughter – it was the most peace and quiet I have gotten in years. I was waited on hand and foot, cleaned up after, a stocked fridge was available at all times… I would go back in a heartbeat if I could.

I also had an extended hospital stay.. I was cold all the time and when I was able to sleep someone wanted something!

As for Britney, I am so glad that she is there and someone stepped in for her. Her Dad seems like a strong no BS guy. I hope he keeps strong. Her Mom seems wimpy and a yes person.

I hope all works out well:)
