Lipstick Jungle - Let's Discuss

I have to admit, at first I wasn't going to watch Lipstick Jungle last night because I felt like I would be cheating on Sex and the City (yes, I am loyal). As if I would almost be insulting the memory of one of the greatest female shows of all time. But my husband wanted to see it and I was in the living room, so I watched. I LOVED IT! It's not very Sex and the City at all! These women are powerful, married to their careers and each have a real life problem to deal with. I completely relate to Brooke's character. Not that I am this successful big wig because I am NOT. But I do feel that pain of having to split time between my work and my children. The fact that Lipstick Jungle is showing that the issue exists is so wonderful. Well, that's my take.

So-- I must know, is it better or just like Cashmeare Mafia??? Im totally addicted to that new show. They both seem like they have the same concept--> so Im wondering which will do better.

Although...I love both and am glad they are on different nights because the only thing better than one is to have both!

I loved it. and to think that kim raver was pregnant or had just given birth is amazing. my favorite part was when the young stud ripped her panty hoes and she fell backward. my mom and i were laughing so hard.

The "just given birth" statement about Kim Raver should be amended to read "kim raver was pregnant or had just had a cesaerean section followed immediately by a tummy tuck".

I liked Lipstick Jungle. I do not like Cashmere Mafia at all. It is hokey in my opinion, Lipstick Jungle is hands down better. Cashmere Mafia is almost exactly like Sex and the City, four women, everything. Oh yeah, remember when Samantha was trying to do the lesbian thing for awhile. Anyway, at least Lipstick Jungle is moving a little farther away from the Sex and the City design. Much better acting, plot lines, camera shots, etc. In my opinion, of coarse. Funny how people can see things so differently.

I was really dissapointed with Lipstick Jungle. I agree with Robin (#11 post) completely. These characters were totally unengaging. I didnt think they were true to their charecters, other than Brooke Shields. The plots were stupid and boring. I watch Cashmere mafia, and while I agree with other that it is unoriginal in many aspects, the characters are interesting and watchable.

I didnt see Lipstick Jungle but I LOVE LOVE LOVE Cashmere Mafia!!! although it cant really be compared to SATC.. its more drama..ish. It doesnt have that one liner comedy factor like SATC did.
