Matthew McConaughey sat down with Women’s Health and talked about his love for golf, how a guy knows a girl is into him, and what every woman needs to know about the opposite sex. And the best part of the interview… Matt admitted that he hasn’t worn deodorant in 20 years. So those smelly rumors are true!!!
On what women need to know about men:
“Sometimes when a woman falls for a guy he [asks him to change], and he changes so much that she loses her Huck Finn, the rascal in the man she fell in love with. Men are willing to change to make you happy – because when you’re happy we’re happy. But don’t completely take the boy out of the man. You’re gonna miss him.”
Is there anything you’ve ever done that’s as good as, or better than, sex?
“I’ve had a hole-in-one four times. That’s a pretty good high.”
A tell-tale sign a man is head-over-heels: (Pay attention to this one, ladies!)
“If she asks him to do some really stupid sh$% and he does it [laughs] One hundred percent, man. Then you know.”
Matthew Reveals his Golden Treasures…
1. An honest day’s work: After high school, he spent a year in Australia washing dishes and shoveling chicken manure.
2. Good skin: His 13-year-old leather coat, named Rusty, is a go-to staple for hard travel: “There are a lot of stories in that coat.”
3. Mementos: His most prized possession is a ring his father had made from gold melted down from Matthew’s parents’ high school rings and from his mother’s teeth. It has an M for McConaughey set in it. “When the Malibu fires came and we had to evacuate, that’s the only thing I really needed to grab,” he says.
4. Macho branding: Miller Lite his favorite beer – and his nephew’s name (Miller Lyte).
5. Going au naturel: He hasn’t worn deodorant in 20 years, and he’s been known to dance naked while playing the bongos.
6. Athletic genes: His dad, a defensive end in college, was drafted by the Green Bay Packers.
7. A sassy bitch: He loves his four-legged lady, an Australian cattle dog named Foxy
