Her Kids Said It Was OK

Denise Richards is getting a lot of heat for having her two young girls as part of her reality show despite their father's efforts to prevent it from happening. When asked, Denise said that her three and two year olds gave their mom their blessing.

"I am a single mom and I am very hands-on with my kids so I can't do a show without the kids at all. I asked them if they wanted to be on TV and Sam said, "Yes!'. My girls have been around it so much. They love the make-up. They love the hair. They love all of that.
"I understand why people are judgmental right away saying, "How could she have her kids on the show?' But as long as they're protected, I feel that they'll be OK."

You know what? She's right. The girls always look like they enjoy the cameras on them. They are going to have a BLAST being followed all day long.

Those poor kids look MISERABLE. Yeah Denise, they sure look like they want to be on television. Give it up.

Both of her daughters looks so sad all the time. I honestly do not recall one time of either of them smiling. They always look very upset. I dont think they are happy and may be depressed. Also isnt it bad to be sucking thems at that age, that how children develop buck teeth!

Ask any child if they want to be on television and of course they will say YES! She is asking for trouble with this show. Look at the young "stars" of today. What do a lot of them do? Go out to clubs, drink, drugs, go to rehab, etc. etc. The kids did not ask for this celebrity and she will regret it when they get older. I just cant stand this girl anymore. Those poor kids.

Since when do parents go to their children for permission about something like this? All kids that age would probably love to be on TV. Denise should use her own judgment. Oops, never mind. Taking her "judgment into account, it all makes perfect sense.

The fact that they are CONSTANT thumb-suckers is a SURE sign of insecurity! Poor kids!

LETS NOT BE MEAN ABOUT THE CHILDREN. There is no reason to call a child ugly.

In 3 of the above pics the one daughter is actually frowning....

Mom keeps a smile on but for the most part those girls just look sad. :(

Why would you take the advice of your Toddlers?

I really doubt that she took in consideration the opinion of her children.

Silly statement, She feels the heat and she is just trying to justify her poor choice.

yeah, because 2-year olds have been known for their ability to draw balanced and thorough conclusions about such things as appearing on a reality show...

I totally disagree with you. Her approach would be fine if both parents agree but clearly, the father had a strong difference of opinion. And, the whole premise of the show is about her as a single mother - those kids are being exploited by her to make a buck. Anyone else would lose their kids or the court would have sided with the father.

Whoever said they never smile... That's not true. Sam seems to be very shy. Not that I agree they should be in the spotlight at all, mind you. Lola on the other hand appaears to be happy almost all the time.

But guess what? I had a friend in school who sucked her thumb well into elementary school. She had a twin brother. And an amazingly loving family. But she was also horribly shy. You can't always judge these things. Now these girls really don't have the best parents. I don't trust Charlie Sheen at all. He and Denise do not get along, if anything I bet that will cause most of the problems for the girls. Therapy? Probably. And from what I heard they were in therapy already. ;)
