I can’t believe that I actually whole heartily agree with something that Avril Lavigne said… I have to sit down. My head is spinning and the room is going dark. Avril has been quoted saying that there are Hollywood girls that do things intentionally to get the press to follow them - like dining at The Ivy or shopping on Robertson.

“I think a lot of the Hollywood girls, I won’t get into names, are obsessed with the paparazzi. They call them or go to the Ivy (restaurant) so they’ll be seen and followed for the rest of the day. I won’t go shopping on Robertson Boulevard in LA, because it’s so cheesy. I would feel lame. it’s embarrassing.”

Yes they do! That’s why I always see ulterior motives when people go to Joan’s on Third, The Ivy, or Mr. Chows. And speaking over Robertson, I would LOVE to know what the rent is for a store on that street! Can you imagine?!

Oh by the way, here is Avril and her husband shopping on Robertson Blvd on February 18th.

“It’s funny because… it was Valentine’s Day and David was walking to the car, and there were these big balloons that said ‘I Love You’ - you might have seen it in the tabloids - and some yellow and white roses. And David was getting into his car and the paparazzi jumped out and said, ‘This is for Courteney, tell her we love her.’ And he said, ‘Oh, thanks man.’ And he grabbed the balloons and then turned towards his car and (they took lots of pictures). David was a little upset: ‘I wouldn’t have bought those roses.’ They actually planted it so it would look like he bought those for Coco and me.”

I’m always curious to see what celebrities wear to the gym and to run basic errands. People like Paris Hilton wear couture to hit the treadmill (I’m exaggerating) while others like Selma Blair just blend in. Here she is after getting a good workout in LA.

So he washes his hands for a really long time. That’s not such a bad thing is it? Bet you he hardly gets sick! The thing that is really funny about this story is where Tom Cruise makes his bodyguard stand while doing number 2. Right outside the stall! Instead of having him stationed outside the bathroom door, Tommy makes his lucky brute stand close should something go down. You know what that means… that man has heard a ton of bells and whistles. Heck, I would do it too for the salary Tom dishes out.

Some A-list stars have their bodyguards stationed outside the restroom when they’ve got to go. Not Tom Cruise! According to a source, who was already in the loo at a swanky L.A. restaurant when the Scientologist entered, Tom had his bodyguard accompany him into the bathroom — and stand guard close by while the 45-year-old star went! Meanwhile, the bodyguard stared our spy down. AWK-ward!

Our source tells us that Tom then washed his hands “as fastidiously and thoroughly as a surgeon preparing for surgery. He must have washed his hands for at least 5 minutes.”
