Penelope Cruz Doesn't Believe In Marriage

Right now it's hot in Hollywood to say you don't believe in marriage. Penelope Cruz was the most recent celebrity to join the club, right after her pal Salma Hayek also spoke out about having no plans to wed her baby daddy. Salma said,
"I don't have a need for marriage. You want to grow old with someone, you want to have a partner and to have children - we have all those things. Some people need the commitment. Maybe we'll just make the party!"
And Penelope was right after her saying,
"I would love to have children some day, but not for now. I don't know if I believe in marriage. I believe in family, in love, in children. It depends on the situation but nowadays I am not sure what marriage is for."
So many other celebrities have talked about this same subject, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt as well as Scarlett Johansson have also made similar statements. What do you think?

I Think Its Easy Not 2 Believe In Marriage When Your Rich. If I Hit The Lotto Im Not Getting Married Either!! And Why Get Engaged But Not Married Salma?
Well said, Allyson !

uh.....salma hayek said that, not penelope cruz
I would have to be married to have kids. Somehow it makes the relationship more of a commitment to me. Besides I would not want to be still calling my guy, my boyfriend, my partner, my lover, or the father of my children when I am 50. I kind of like the sound of husband and what it means. That we are legally bound to be in this thing together because we want to be.
sorry for such a long post, just needed to get that out there
I am not sure if these people really feel that or if they are trying to fit in with Hollywood. Personally I feel it is the latter. It is sad because marriage works , just ask our ancestors. I do agree itis not for everybody, but I am sick of Hollywood trends. This is so passe.
