I have heard this a million times. There were auditions held for Tom Cruise to find his new girlfriend. She had to be in her 20s to appeal to a younger audience and she had to be beautiful because Tom was hoping to marry her. Penelope Cruz was the original choice as she would also appeal to the Latin markets. But when that didn't work, Tom's people got busy at work to find him a girl that will help expand his marketability. Well, now an ex-Scientologist (who probably only has a few days left to live) has spilled the beans about the real way Tom met Katie.
"After that (splitting from Cruz), he started complaining to his best buddy David about his luck with girls. So Miscavige assigned a high-ranking official with the order: "Find a wife for Tom Cruise.' "The official put out a casting call to female actresses, including Scientologists, saying, "There's an upcoming Tom Cruise movie you might get a part in. Come for an audition.' But in the end no movie was made. They had to be single, they had to be pretty and in their 20s.
"First they rounded up Scientologist actresses like Erica Christensen, Erica Howard and Sofia Milos. But they were all rejected." The unnamed official then tried to lure Electra star Garner - who had just started dating Ben Affleck at the time - with the beauty ranked top of the priority list, before Holmes was spotted gushing about Cruise and called to Los Angeles to meet the actor. Headley adds, "Then... they went for Jennifer Garner, Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Alba, in that order. They came up with the same plan. Jennifer and Jessica didn't bite but Scarlett took the bait and came in for an audition.
When she arrived at the audition address and found out it was the Scientology Center in Hollywood she freaked out and didn't do a tape... So they worked the audition tape on Katie, got her to L.A. and introduced her to Tom. The moment he meets her, he's enthralled with her and he told Miscavige later, "I knew immediately she was the one.'"

I too believe this. I sometimes wonder how many years she signed on for. Even at 10 she would still be young, and she & Suri would be provided for beyond belief! I also have doubts about Suri, but we will NEVER know the truth of the whole twisted thing.

i totally believe it! Whenever Katie is asked "how" she met Tom, she always says we went out to dinner. Sounds more like an answer to "what they did on their first date?" rather than actually "how" they met.

oh, also: i was always fundamentally freaked out by the shot of katie holmes in vanilla sky (a full-fledged scientology movie if there ever was one) - at first it seemed random that they flashed an image of her (as she was in no way shape or form involved in the film) but really it makes perfect sense. add it up. shiver me timbers!

I think its true but what concerns me is not how they met but the fact that they have basicly match makers in this cult of theres! I think he is a little strange but hey if she loves him its what ever... An as far as theyre beliefs Well I gonna keep loving my GOD!! Jesus is the only way to him!
