Marijuana has been approved for medical purposes; so it is only illegal if your doctor does not approve your marijuana perscription. The topic is anti-depressant drug for John Mayer and marijuana helps with depression, as well as other problems caused by illness.
One can be the biggest cocaine, crack, or perscription drug addict (oxycontin, etc.) and one can wait one day and then take a drug test and get the job. One can smoke pot at a concert and have it in their system for over a month and not pass a drug test and not get the job. So which do you want working for you? The cocaine, crack, oxycontin addict that has been up all night or the occasional toker? The system is all messed up.

This is not a big surprise, hearing John M. admit to using Xanax. Sometimes he has a drowsy appearance when he's performing. It's his business if he needs Xanax, though. Loads of people are prescribed Xanax with no harm done.
