Jamie Lynn Spears Is Engaged!

What?!?  She is only 16 years old.  I cannot believe this!  People is reporting that Jamie Lynn Spears is engaged to the father of her baby, Casey Aldridge.  Supposedly someone in Louisiana talked to People and said,
"She's got an engagement ring," the source says. "She's been showing it off, talking about it."
I hope that if this is true these two are engaged because they are truly in love.  I know some people who married their high school sweethearts and are still going strong 40 years later.  But on the other side of the fence, I've known quite a few people who got engaged before they were old enough to know better...and things didn't end well.
What do you think about the news?

If they are getting married just bc of the baby then ick.. urgg.. grr

But if they really feel like they can make it. Go for it. They will have to live in the light of Hollywood. That has to make it hard no matter what reason it was for.

She is way too young to get married. Hopefully it will be a long engagement. However since the divorce rate is high for even older couples, being too young is not much of an argument these days. She already has a baby on the way.

More horrible things have happened than a teenager getting pregnant and married. What makes anyone think that having a child and being married at 20 or 30 is a guarantee to a stable marriage and successful child rearing?!?!

Leave her alone. She is being super mature and smart about her life. She wanted to have this child and she is making it work, she will go to college get an education and be happy with her baby and family. I am sure Casey loves her and I am sure they will do their best to make it work. I admire Jamie Lynn I would have never had the balls to keep a child at 16, I would have taken the easy route and had an abortion. Best of luck Jamie!!
