Call me old fashioned, but I would NOT be happy if someone broke up with me via text message! I understand how useful texting is but there are some things that just need to be said face to face…
Anyways, Carrie Underwood talked to Extra at the taping of Idol Gives Back and said that she and Chace Crawford broke up via text message,
“We broke up over text, so it’s like ‘peace out.’ It was completely mutual, we’re both fine.” She said they haven’t talked “in a while, but I mean, I don’t dislike him. So it’s no big deal.”
She also said that dating in the public eye is “difficult … because people always make a lot bigger deal of things than they actually are.”
Anybody out there have any crazy stories about dumping/being dumped through a text message?

Yep, happened to me seven months ago from my boyfriend of 7 years!!! He is a musician and went on tour with a band. While on tour he decided his "fans" gave him more attention than I was giving him and that "we should both move on". Sent it all to my via text message the day before I was to pick him up at the airport. He has never spoken to me or communicated with me again!!!
even worse, how about an email??? i dated a guy for a year and we got into a fight and the jerk decides to break up with me through an email. needless to say i emailed him back and told him how pathetic he was and not man enough to face me to do it.
I’m not sure why everyone is making such a huge deal out of this. They are both busy people with their careers and all. Carrie is touring and Chase is filming and for them to take time off and fly to see each other just to break up would be ridiculous.
