Kylie Minogue Was Misdiagnosed

Yikes! These kinds of stories totally freak me out. The first physician that Kylie Minogue went to go see didn't spot her breast cancer. But, the singer, who was on our at the time, followed her intuition and went to see another doctor after she felt a lump.

"Because someone is in a white coat and using big medical instruments doesn't necessarily mean they're right. I don't want to say that to frighten people but that's just a fact. You must follow your intuition and if you have any doubt go back again."

Just goes to show, that you should always go with your gut.

I am so glad she is speaking out about this. I wish more people would understand that doctors really are "practicing medicine". They are human just like everyone else and do make mistakes.

I thought that was going to be she DIDNT have breast cancer ! My sister was 34 when she found her first lump and the doctor she went to see said you are too young so just forget about it. Thankfully she didnt because it was cancer and she went to another doctor who took one look and said yeah we better look at this immediately. My doc now has me on a 6 month mammo and 6 month MRI to make sure they catch anything early that might develop.

Sheryl Crow has a story like that too, her doctor told her it was nothing to worry about and to come back in 6 months. She did not trust that, and neither did her OBGyn. She had it checked out and was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer. Who knows what would have happened if she waited 6 months.
