Ashlee Simpson And Pete Wentz Engaged
On Friends or Enemies, Pete Wentz's website, Ashlee Simpson left a message to their fans that the couple is engaged. Can you believe that Ashlee and Pete are getting married? They have been dating for about a year and have already faced pregnancy and wedding rumors. This time it comes from Ashlee herself confirming the engagement and thanking her fans for their support.
"We know there has been a lot of speculation recently about Pete and I and we wanted our fans to be the first to know, because you guys are the best. Yes, we are thrilled to share that we are happily engaged. Thank you for all of your support and well wishes - it means the world to us. We consider this to be a very private matter, and we wanted to be the first to tell you and to hear it straight from us."
And it couldn't be a better month for Ashlee. Her new album, Bittersweet World is here and her boyfriend... err fiance has a new clothing line to promote at Nordstrom. I'm sure with all this new press surrounding the engagement, they each will be able to plug their projects.
The real question is whether or not Jessica Simpson is the maid of honor. :)
Update: A rep has confirmed that Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are engaged! Wonder if it happened on April 9th or if that's the date they decided to share it with the world?
Update 2: So, I was curious about the ring. I decided to hang around online until someone posted details as there was no mention of it in their online statement. A source has told In Touch that Pete did give Ashlee one and it was beautiful.

Most surveys indicate that people who get married before the age of 25 do end up getting divorced..I bet that number rises for celebrities (I dont know why, I just have a hunch :P ) . oh well, congrats to them I guess...they seem happy together.
I was married at age 21 and am now 26 and do not see any divorce down my road. It is very wrong for people to say if you get married before the age of 25 you will be divorced. I think the people that get divorced, no matter what age they were when married, are selfish and cannot compromise and only think of themselves. My husband and I compromise every day, and love each other more than the socks on the floor or the dirty dishes. People get divorced because they think they are perfect and their spouse is dragging them down...selfish, think they are too good, people get divorced.
They whould wait she is still young.But congrats if they are sure.
