Hayden Panettiere Says Being Famous Is A Pain

The quote went a bit further... but we will leave it at that. And I suppose for someone who isn't obsessed with the concept of being famous, it would be intrusive. After all, you can' breathe in Hollywood these days without the paparazzi counting your every breath. So in order to remain sane, Hayden Panettiere keeps out of the limelight and rarely leaves her home.
"I don't ever go out. I stay at home. I go from garage to garage, and keep myself out of sight. I love where I live and that I have wonderful friends there and I love what I do, but it really has a major impact on your life. This business is very intrusive. People want to know what you're doing every day, and it becomes less about your craft and your art, and your love for acting, than it is about when you put food in your mouth, or when you're walking your dog."
"The interesting thing to me is, if you think about it, the glamor of Hollywood has been dimmed down by people that don't necessarily love what they do or their craft. I think people who are mainly in the public eye and deal with this [attention], a lot of them like it and enjoy it. I don't really enjoy going out, it's a nightmare in my opinion."
Is it me? Or was that the smartest quote we've heard in a long time from a young Hollywood star?

I agree as well, and she does seem pretty smart. Sounds like she is passionate about what she does. Of course we all like the celeb pictures, but I admit I would hate it if part of my job was to be followed and photographed going to the gym and grocery store...
I think Hayden is going to end up being an actress that will still be around, acting, in 40 years.
