Madonna Is Related To Celine Dion

Well, now we know where everyone will be for the holidays!First we had the whole Jolie- Pitt / Obama-Clinton ordeal and now we have this! An ancestry site has announced that Madonna is related to Celine Dion. Two great singers united by a French carpenter descendant. I smell a movie. :) Will Madonna change her accent to reflect this new news? Only time will tell.

Oh well...
I live in the province of Quebec and pretty much everybody who does a bit of genealogy research can find out that they are related to Madonna or Celine in some ways.
I am myself... if we go back a dozen of generations!! LOL
Well, Celine has a much better voice then madonna.

I think you meant to say "ancestor," as descendent implies that the carpenter was born well after Madonna and Celine.

Haha, "Will Madonna change her accent to reflect this new news" ... made me chuckle. I could actually see Madonna doing this just to bring herself into the news again.
I am also related to Madonna and Camilla, duchess of Cornwall through Jules Trottier and his wife, Catherine Loiseau. I haven't been able to firmly establish the Celine Dion link with myself yet, but that's for another day. My grandmother was of the Trottier-Beaubien line.
Ricky gervais, madonna, hiliary C, Avril LAvigne , alanis morrisette, Celine Dion, Pierre Trudeau and Camilla P-B all have common ancestors from a very small gene pool. oh yea Adrienne BArbeau ( the original grease Rizzo )
is also kin. ) At least Camilla isn't as inbred as the family she's married into.
Prince Phillip and Queen Elizabeth both descend from Queen Victoria who herself married her first cousin.
