i am so obsessed with ryan gosling. he is amazing in the Notebook, of course, but he is also great in Half Nelson (it is a very intense movie and he is wonderful in it!)
i am SO SAD that he and rachel mcadams broke up. i really am a sap and wanted them to be like the couple they portrayed in the movie.
I never liked him on Breaker High cause his character - Sean - was so annoying and cocky and he never got any women! hehe. But now he has grown into a man and is okay! I would say slightly above average.
I have had a thing for him ever since the Notebook - cheesy I know - but he is just adorable ;o) oh, and extremely talented.

My sister has spent time teaching in Uganda and met him there. I believe he was there researching a possible movie. She was in a hotel in Kampala when they somehow struck up a conversation and she kept thinking "this guy is so familiar, and so hot!" but she was tired and dirty and he just seemed like a regular guy. He asked what she was doing there, and then she asked him the same thing. He said he was an actor, and she said "oh really? what kind of actor?" and he said "movies....." and then he finally said "The Notebook" in a sort of embarrassed way and the light bulb went on and she realized who she was talking to. I think he liked the fact that she was not all star struck. He and his author friend that he was traveling with ending up having dinner with her and her friends at the Invisible Children house, the organization she was working for. She said he was totally down to earth and just a regular guy. She even got a kiss on the cheek! Sometimes I just have her tell me the story again, I love to hear it. I am so jealous!
