This interview is just another reason to love Hilary...she easily could have bad mouthed Avril in response to her comment, but she took the high road. She's definitely a class act.

"Supposedly, I stole Lindsay Lohan's boyfriend [Aaron Carter.] We were, like, 13! And I've never stolen anyone's boyfriend! I don't know how you do that! . . . She was talking about it and I wasn't. It made us both look bad and put up a big weirdness. Really she was just a girl my age. We are fine now, by the way."
On Miley Cyrus:
"We don't have each other's phone numbers. But when she meets me, she's excited. It's cute - “ I see a lot of myself in her."
On Avril Lavigne:
"I said something about how she didn't like her fans dressing like her, and how she should appreciate that because it's a compliment. She called me a goody-goody [Lavigne called Duff a 'mommy's girl' in Newsweek] Everyone is trying to prove who they are, and their position. So, I'm 'the good girl.' She's 'the bad girl' or 'the party girl.' Sarah Jessica Parker doesn't take her clothes off, but she's not a 'good girl.' [Adult actors] don't get tagged like we do."

Vera, I agree! Avril tries WAY too hard to be cool. Hillary may be a "goody goody" but at least she sounds intelligent and has a good head on her shoulders!

Finally, at least somebody is acting their age (in a mature lady-like way). Hillary hasnt been pictured without underwear, has not been to rehab, and talks kindly about others. Its refreshing these days!
Why do you say she is a class act ?
She has 2 faces.
Avril never said she didn`t like her fans dressing like her , in fact the opposite.
Avril said she was flattered by the fact her young fans wanted to look like her , she also said the message she was trying to get across was to be yourself and that means you can look and dress anyway you want.
it was an Australian magazine that made up the comments about Avril not appreciating her fans that dressed like her , then Hillary decided to add her uninformed self richeous comments butting in on something that had nothing to do with her.
all Hillarys comments/attack came surprise surprise the same week she was promoting her very own clothe line called STUFF by DUFF in articles promoting that clothes line.
