Roberty Downey Jr. Says Drugs Ruined Relationship With Sarah Jessica Parker

You forget these things. Well, at least I do. Robert Downey Jr. and Sarah Jessica Parker were a serious couple back in the day. And probably would still be together if it hadn't been for Robert's terrible drug problem. He recently admitted that it was his addiction that caused the split.
"I was so selfish. I liked to drink, and I had a drug problem, and that didn't jibe with Sarah Jessica, because it was the furthest thing from what she is. She tried to help me. She was so miffed when I didn't get my act together. I was in love with Sarah Jessica . . . and love clearly was not enough. I was meant to move on. And, after some heartache, she was meant to find her home with a great star."
Sarah Jessica doesn't seem like the type to be into that lifestyle. A few years back she admitted that she didn't understand how serious addiction can be.
"Fairly early on in our relationship, he told me he had a drug problem. I was stunned. I did not recognise the signs, I didn't know the profundity of it. I was innocent in so many ways. I thought, "Well I'll help him.' I didn't think that addiction was something that would impose itself on us. I was very wrong. I believed I was the person holding him together. In every good and bad way I enabled him to get up in the morning and show up for work. If he didn't, I was there to cover for him, find him, clean him up and get him to the set or theatre."

she was better off without him. i think she and matthew broderick are cute together. She and RDJ seemed too roller coaster.
Why is he talking about her now. I hate it when people (mainly guys) start marketing their movies and drag up all their past loves. Not fair to SJP. He needs to zip it.
I doubt he brought it up himself. He is married now as well. My guess would be that the reporter ask him about it.
i want them back together. RDJ should cheat on his wife with SJP.
