Happily pregnant and glowing Nicole Kidman was at the UNIFEM press conference held at the United Nations in New York the other day. I think it's wonderful that Nicole is taking time out of her life to stand up for females around the world and to try to help those in harsher circumstances. While things aren't perfect here in the States, as women we have so many more rights then women in other countries. So way to go Nicole and the multitudes of other women that give their time and energy to further the cause of Women's Rights around the world. :)

What we are trying to do is say this is something that needs to be addressed. A lot of it is taking away the stigma, creating awareness and not making it a silent pandemic. I want to encourage people of all nations to unite behind our call to end violence against women."
