Rebecca Romijn Is Leaving Ugly Betty

Rebecca Romijn has decided to leave the show, Ugly Betty, and there's some drama involved with the decision. She thinks the new writers, who were hired after the writers' strike, have wrecked her character. She'll still be returning for an occasional guest appearance though.
"They made a tremendous amount of changes, especially with the writing staff (during the writer's strike). And while I know I'll be coming back next season, with all the changes, I'm not sure they can take care of my character they way they have been. So I'll be leaving, back in a recurring capacity, but time for me to leave and find something else."

She wasn't my absolute favorite character on the show so I'm not terribly upset. Are any of you Ugly Betty fans sad to see Rebecca go?

Sorry to see Rebecca leave, but she left with a cliff hanger. Daniel "is not the father."

I was upset to see her character go. I felt that the story line and emotion behind the character was very novel and interesting, and I cannot imagine the show without her.

I am sad to hear she is gone. ABC just announced they fired the Grey's Anatomy star who played Erica Hahn and they have gotten rid of the gay storyline. Also, they had another gay character to appear later this month and they changed that storyline completely. Rumors are now that ABC actually fired Rebecca and that they are getting rid of all of these types of storylines. This is very disappointing and it feels like we are going backwards a couple of decades. Too bad.
