Seems a bit desperate to rent jewelry. What if it’s lost – do you have to buy insurance?
Julie Ann – Just to show off you’re totally correct, but it actually makes sense if you have a one time need (large affair, premier, you’re invited somewhere very chi-chi like an awards thing from work) … &, actually, it’s exactly what the celebs do on all those red carpets … they borrow the gems from jewelers & return them the next day – though there are always tales of ‘misplaced’ items . And yes, the insurance is part of the price — which is why members get a discount (they’re already paying insurance in the monthly fee).
