Mariah Carey And Nick Cannon Are Married!

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon got married on Wednesday! WOW. I mean, I know they were engaged and everything but would have never pictured Mariah as one to elope.
For right now all we know is that they got married in a small ceremony on an island and that the wedding was "very impulsive."
I almost didn't believe the story but Mariah Carey's nephew, Shawn McDonald, was in the Bahamas this past week and UsWeekly is reporting that his facebook status is giving updates on the fact that he was a witness to the marriage.
But...then he goes on to say,
"Shawn can officially say that what you may or may not have read or heard is not true..."
So I guess we'll just have to wait for rep confirmation.

She's on a self-obsessed publicity drive at the moment, what with the release of her new album, but to get married at the same time sounds somewhat risky, especially to someone so much younger, and less wealthy. Sounds like her head is up in the clouds! Let's hope she got him to sign a pre-nup. I'd give it a year at most!

There is NOTHING WRONG with a hand-me-down ring. But in reality I doubt it is a USED ring. But not to prolong the ring discussion. MAY THE POWERS THAT BE, BLESS THEIR UNION. I hope they spend a lifetime of the joys and all that married life sends their way. Life, unfortunately is not a Beach, but there are some really great memories and moments. I WISH THEM THE BEST!!!!
