Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie Are More Influential Than Oprah

Anyone else surprised by this? Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie came in higher on Time's Most Influential People list than Oprah. The super hot couple ranked at #21, while Oprah was just behind them at #22. Oh, and guess who was #59...yep, Miss Vanity Fair scandal herself, Miley Cyrus! And Robert Downey Jr. ranked at #60. The full list is here, but you have to individually click through all 100 hundred pictures to see who made it, so...guess who won't be doing that :)
So what do you think, is Brangelina truly more influential than Oprah...I have my doubts...

I time got it wrong since Oprah has managed to persuade millions of people to reach out to her new church and religion. This is worldwide influence to all corners of the world, not just entertainment.

Considering the very polarized opinions of these two I'm not surprised... seems like EVERYBODY's got an opinion on them. Which, I suppose, makes them influential.
I don't think the list is based on a ranking system of who is 'more' influential. Rather, the list is divided into 5 categories and the 20 people mentioned are the most influential in their respected category.
Influential when it comes to what? Bad acting and being selfish. Cuz I mean I cant think of much more things they are good at. Well and adopting and procreating have to go on that list somewhere.
This is pathetic, Brad has no balls and Angie is just shady so all in all I guess they are the American Dream. Makes sense. Not to me but...

Frankly, I kind of hope so.... better to want to adopt and advocate for positive change in the world than to join the cult of O. It's not so much Oprah herself I have a problem with - she obviously does some good things, but the millions of people who seem to think she's the second coming are where my concerns lie.

The people on that list is NOT listed in order of influence. It's a list of the 100 most influential people, but it's not a ranked list.
All the leaders and revolutionaries are listed first, then all the heroes and pioneers, then all scientists and thinkers and finally all the builders and titans.
But that doesn't mean some of the titans are not more influential than some of the artists and some of the artists are not more influential than some of the scientist.
Nor does it mean that Brad and Angie are more influential than Oprah. Certainly they're not.
yea, I forgot to mention the artists and entertainers, they're certainly there too and listed before the builders and titans. But like I said, doesn't mean they're MORE influential than all the builders and titans.

I actually understand why they are before Oprah it's because Brad+Angelina are worldwide celebrities whereas Oprah is just an American celebrity she is not relevant outside the USA.
Why is there so much hate for Angelina? So what, she did drugs and had wild sex etc, but which rich teen didnt in the 80s-90s? She managed to grow out of this. And who said she stole a married man? Only God know what kind of problems Brad may have had with Aniston,( I heard speculations that Aniston refused to have kids etc to persue her career.) that doesnt make mans new woman a hooker. And as far as I know the whole adopting children wasnt damage control, adopting her first child Maddox was way before the whole Brad thing and she said it turned her life around. Besides if the adoption worked out well and she enjoyed being a mum, why not do this again and help another helpless child? (+ she was actually the one who started the whole adoption feaver)
And about Oprah..Sadly I dont know much about her, but wasnt she involved in some scandal with abusing/insulting school girls or something? (Not that I know much about that, just read some headlines)
I think Brad and Angelina have more world wide influence. They do so much good while Oprah's is more in the US and when she does good things everyone knows about it. I don't think she has made a trip recently to Iraq or Africa lately to help others??
