Usher Refuses To "Pimp" Out His Child's Baby Pictures

Don't expect Usher to entertain a bidding war to see which magazine will give him the most money for his child's first photos. He has zero intentions of cashing in on the birth of his child.
"In no way would I ever pimp out my child for money," Usher told Page Six.
Breath of fresh air. I do have to say that I like it when celebrities take the money and then give it to charity. Then, at least people who really need it benefit from the celebrity baby obsession. But this is most certainly equally as honorable.

If the baby looks like it's mother, then no wonder he doesn't want anyone to see it! She is fugly.
I totally forgot that Usher's wife had a baby. My guess is that no one asked.

He says this, but next month he is posing on the cover of Essence with his child... is that so different? He still gets paid to be in a cover shot with his baby.
He wouldnt command the sort of money that the Jl'o's, Angies would thats all.
and can anyone prove that the money for the baby pics go to charity, just cause they say it doesn't mean they do it...

Correction not way BUT *why*
Well, in his case, it isn't as if paps are going to camp out and follow him around the world to get the "first" pics of his child so he has no reason to "pimp" the child's pics. In the case of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, they would have had no peace until a first pic of Shiloh was taken so I agree with what they did: they decided that it wasn't going to be the paps who profitted but a charity. That is commendable. At least they didn't pull a JLo and Skeletor and pimp the kids for yet more bling.

I don't believe that ALL of the money from the sale of these celebrity baby pictures go to charity at all... charities regardless of their innocent sounding names are still 'businesses' where MANY unscrupulous pple hide money while allocating only a small portion to the cause.

yea for usher. i neva understood y parents sold pic of their baby right after they gave birth. i mean take some time and bond with your kid. even though i really want to see halle berry baby (the only baby pic i would give my money to see), i am glad she has chosen not to pimp her baby out for money and publicity.
fashionguru, i agree. no one knows where that money goes. u can't really believe them because they jus tell u what they want ppl to hear. even if brad and angelina did give their money to charity it was only because it is expected from them and they have to keep their image.
Must not need the money!
