I’ve been bitten by the Green bug ever since attending the Go Green Expo in NYC. I’ve signed up for Kiwi Magazine and have stopped using plastic bottles to drink water. Go Tupperware!
The Sundance Channel has asked me to promote their upcoming series, The Green! The Green is television’s first regularly scheduled programming destination dedicated entirely to the environment.

It’s funny that you mention refillable bottles and tupperware. I am a big proponent of both these days. I keep nice clean bottles at home and am always handing them out to my family.

I think it’s great you’ve been promoting some green causes lately.
A tip if you’re going to use re-usable plastic bottles to carry water/juice is to look for bottles made with #5 plastic, it’s the safest.
Did you know that last year, America recycled enough aluminim beverage cans to stretch to the moon and back 8 times? Keep recycling America

when I was in college (ten years ago) people thought I was some sort of freaky tree hugger because I made my roommates recycle. I’m glad to see being green is finally picking up among the masses.

Hopefully more of us will start going green so we can turn around this cycle of waste in our world.
I definitely try to recycle as much as possible. Simply using reusable shopping bags and recycling newspapers, bottles and magazines makes such a huge impact and doesn’t require much effort. Reducing waste (and buying products that are packaged with less materials) is important, too.

You know, when I was going to college, environmental was considered a very wierd science, thank goodness I followed through with what I wanted to do. I have always been a big environment geek and am so happy that the rest of the world is becoming more “green” savvy.

I was green before green was cool. My mom was one of seven children and was in high school during the “Great Depression”. We were raised to “waste not, want not” and taught to improvise with what you have. I still have many things to learn about today’s efforts to be green, but I have a good foundation learned from a green pioneer.

Use reusable grocery bags… it is a small step, but saves so much. And you won’t have all those annoying plastic bags in your house!!
I try to be green in little ways that I can..turn off water when doing dishes, brushing teeth etc. OOOh and ive been using fabric shopping bags for over a year. Love those!
GO GREEN!!! My daughter recently became very interested in going green. We now use fabric shopping bags. The water doesn’t run as much as it did. All four of my kids are now turning off the water while brushing and have shortened their shower times. I have also been buying organinc cotton tees.

The environmental movement has been hijacked. All we hear is “sustainability”, “recycling”, “green”, “carbon footprint”, “conservation”… They are attempting to instill a feeling of guilt and shame on us, when they – the corporations – are the ones doing the global-scale polluting and the massive environmental damage. Since government is corrupt, they face no consequences. But let’s all change our lightbulbs and spend money on more mass-manufactured stuff!
