Geri Halliwell Doesn’t Care If Daughter Becomes “Goth Lesbian”

Friday, May 9th, 2008 at 3:40 pm

Geri Halliwell says she’s going to be a relaxed mom and that no matter which direction her daughter, Bluebell Madonna’s life goes in, that she’ll stand by her.

“If she turns out to be a goth lesbian who works in dental surgery then that’s OK.”

She’s never going to censor her.

“I’ll be absolutely honest with her and not judge her. But equally I’ll empower her with education and that’s all we can do. The more we censure somebody, the more they’re likely to act out. It’s about giving boundaries and we all need boundaries. After that I think she’ll be a smart enough girl to make her own choices.”

Some parents seem to hope that their kids will fit a very specific mold, or even more common…hope they’ll become just like mom and dad. I think it’s hard for kids to live up to the expectations that their parents hold sometimes.

Madonna Defends Britney Spears

Friday, May 9th, 2008 at 2:32 pm

In another interview, Madonna spoke out defending Britney Spears and some of her erratic behavior from this past year. Madonna is someone who knows what it’s like to live life totally in the spotlight and she says it’s hard to grow up that way.

“She didn’t get to grow up and make mistakes privately… she’s been under a microscope since she was a teenager, which I think is really tough, it’s hard to evolve that way.”

Madonna also talked about what it was like making music with Justin Timberlake. I can’t believe she was intimidated..I mean, she’s Madonna!!!

“It’s a little bit awkward. You don’t really know them and you feel a little bit nervous and intimidated…Justin admitted to me the other day that he felt the same way. When you write music you’re really exposing something about yourself and if you don’t know somebody you feel a little bit embarrassed.”

Lindsay Lohan Tries To Clear A Path

Friday, May 9th, 2008 at 1:57 pm

I had to share this description from WENN talking about Lindsay Lohan leaving Goa:

Lindsay Lohan leaving Goa nightclub and gets into Samantha Ronson’s car. She charges out of the car and swings her arms out to both sides in order to knock photographers out of her path.

That must have been a sight to see! I wonder if she screamed as she did it.

Stills From The Accidental Husband

Friday, May 9th, 2008 at 1:33 pm

accidental husband poster

Uma Thurman always makes great movies and I’m sure the Accidental Husband will be no exception. It sounds really cute!

“New York firefighter Patrick Sullivan had no idea his seemingly idyllic life was about to go up in smoke – especially as the unwitting, second-hand recipient of advice from famed love expert and radio host Dr. Emma Lloyd. One day he is a happy, go-lucky guy looking forward to a life with his soon-to-be-bride. The next thing you know, his fiancée Sophia (Justina Machado) is seeking couples counseling on the radio from Dr. Lloyd. The no-nonsense, ever practical Dr. Lloyd questions Sophia’s concept of romantic love and advises her to break their engagement, which she swiftly does. But when Patrick and his computer-savvy neighbor decide to give Dr. Lloyd a taste of her own medicine and “accidentally” join them in holy matrimony – something that doesn’t go over too well with fiancée (played by Colin Firth) — it isn’t long before they learn that sometimes even an expert in love needs a second opinion.”

I’m such a sucker for romantic comedies :) Something about this sort of reminds me of the Truth About Cats And Dogs. Did any of you ever see that? Great movie with Uma and Jeneane Garofalo…wonder what ever happened to her?

Amy Adams: Red Hair Changed My Life

Friday, May 9th, 2008 at 1:22 pm

“I’ve had red hair for the past four years. Before that I never thought of being anything but blonde. There was a definite shift in my life when I decided to go red. When you’re blonde, people associate it all with being flirty. With red hair, suddenly you’re quirky.”

Amy Adams

I recently heard a study done that asked women if they could naturally be any color, what would it be. The answer was an overwhelming RED! So maybe Amy is onto something here.
