Miley Cyrus Welcome To Pose In Playboy

Even 82 year Hugh Hefner knows who 15 year old Miley Cyrus is. He saw the big fuss that went down over the Vanity Fair picture scandal and has now extended the invitation for her to pose in Playboy when she's of legal age.
"Certainly she'd be welcome to the magazine. She's a very pretty lady."
Reporters also asked Hef what he thought of the Vanity Fair pictures.
"To make such a big to-do over something as innocent as those photos -- I think it's a reflection of how schizophrenic America is about sexuality."
I guess for a man like Hef, who has spent virtually his entire life around women wearing next to nothing, a girl covered in a sheet just isn't a big deal to him!

I dont think those Miley pictures were scandalous at all. I think its America's puritan background that made it out to be such a big thing. In Europe and South America those pictures were at best meh and it was Annie Liebowitz! I thought they had great shadowing and were very beautiful. Americans have extremely pervy minds.

It is not Americans puritan background, but the way the picture was taken. Basically you have a 15 year old (legally still a child) posing with a sexual come hither expression and a sheet over her to imply a sexual invitation. The media needs to stop promoting sexuality with children. Let them be kids.
I think the Hef's 3 girlfriends are pathetic. They basically have to take turns sleeping with an 81 year old man and are not allowed to date other men. Their rooms are smaller than my room. They are basically paid prostitutes. They have sad lives.
Ha, Hef is always on top of this stuff (literally). I don't see nothing wrong with the photos, they are actually quite gorgeous. Anne Liebowitz is a great photographer. As far as Hef's girlfriends - If they are happy, it's no one elses business.

Europeans love to exploit children as sexual objects so I can understand their laughter. Those whore chicks are everyones business because they chose to do a reality show. They are bad role models for children. Don't get an education girls, just get implants, lipo, and wear sexy clothes all day and find a rich old man who will give you money for having sex with him.

Americans are so ass backwards with sexuality. Its so 'taboo' here BUT YET EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING in American entertainment consists of NOTHING more then tits and ass. And the occasional 'sex tape'. Get a grip and start worrying about YOUR kids cuz I don't see many educated, talented, worldly or wise teenagers these days. All I see are a bunch of overweight little girls trying to look 27 and dumbed down boys hitting on the chubby skanks.

i love hugh hefner! i have been fascinated by him since i came across my dad's stash when i was little. the only 'offensive' thing about playboy is that they are a little behind the times. not every shot has to look like a cheesy glamour-shot! lol... otherwise, i totally agree w/ you, Pollee. i like Miley, she's adorb. but it's kind of like how Rolling Stone put the imbeciles from 'the hills' on the cover. those pix are so not a big deal.
My daughter is a pre-teen and even she did not think the pic was appropriate. She is being raised with loving and nurturing parents. We encourage her to think for herself and not to follow the crowd which she does and sometimes gets put down for it. She has great self esteem to deal with it. It is important to encourage our daughters to have interests other than superficial ones. We need to encourage our daughters to do good in school, eat right, exercise, have hobbies, books, playing an instrument, etc. It is sad how people will accept anything the media sends our way. It is also important to encourage our daughters to watch quality shows like Discovery and History channel. My daughter is probably considered different from the norm because she is a vegetarian, is concerned about animal rights, and is also concerned about the environment. She also is not a fan of all the current bubble gum stars like Miley but loves The Beatles. I am so proud to have a daughter that is very smart, respectful, loving, good hearted, and talented.

I am beginning to feel sorry for Hefner. He is starting to look like an old man that needs to be cared for (not sexually). He is getting this puppy look. As long as we continue to buy magazines, buy merchandise from these stars, watch the shows, not let the advertisers know why we're *not* going to watch the shows, etc.....we will be dealing with these issues. When enough people stand up and say "Enough is enough, we're fighting back", it will change.

This has nothing to do with America's "past" and that is a very hollow arguement at best. On the contrary, this has everything to do with American culture as it is today. One would have to be completely oblivious to pop culture and completely ignorant to current events that plague our society to state otherwise. We live in a culture where a woman with THAT expression, seemingly naked in a bed sheet is an invitation to at the very least imagine things of sexual nature. Ms. Liebowitz, being the artist she is supposed to be, should have some knowlege as to what is actually being communicated through her photos. In a world without sex and the perversion of such, maybe this coud be expalined another way, but it truely takes an idiot to think this shot communicates anything but sex in the reality in which we live.
As for Ms. Liebowitz alleged endless talent, it is important to take note that she has done this exact shot before other times with other women. It looks as if her skills are quite limited. She cannot analyze her subjects well enough to pull out the individuality in each of them. She is also quite limited in her world perspective or understanding of it. She either lives in a world where she allows herself to exploit her subjects or she ignorantly places them in the world to be exploited by others.
Miley is a fifteen-year-old young woman. This is not an appropriate message for a fifteen-year-old to send. It is not art. It is exploitation.
