Speaking of Mother's Day, here is Helena Christensen and her son Mingus Lucien out and about in the West Village. How
adorable handsome is he? What do we feel about the shaggy look? We are thinking of doing it with Liam for a few or until someone mistakes him for a girl. :)

Warning Vera, bitchy old people who think boys need crew cuts will call my boys with 1-2 inch long hair girls when they are dress in baseball shirts, with overalls and work boots on, just to make their points. It peeves me to no end, and as I won't say anything mean to old people, even those who are mean to a three year old, I just give them a dirty, dirty look. I tell the boys, Come on, lets get away from the stranger danger. It makes me soooo mad. God forbid a boy sports a curl. It is not 1920 anymore.
I think it must be the style these days. I know there a lot of boys about that age in my neighborhood that are sporting the longer hair look. I just don't have young kids in my life so I am the last person to pick up on the latest styles for them.
I think it's cute when boys have that shaggy look! Makes 'em look rough and tumble and mischievous, like boys should look! I really hate it when people buzz cut their boys' hair...looks retarded.
It seems to be "in" now. I see the look on the teenage boys in the area. I think it looks good if it's well maintained. My boys have a short cut, though (spikey on top). It's easier to handle.
Mingus gets my vote for the most beautiful celeb child. He is beyond gorgeous. She now needs to have a little girl.
That is definitely the latest style for boys.
I like his hair like that, he looks like a cool, casual kid. As long as it's not super long (like celine dion's son) then I think it's fine on a boy.
I like the shaggy look AND I like the buzz-cut look. I have one son with shaggy hair and one with a buzz cut. It's just their personalities - and I have left it up to them - it's only hair, right? But, I also agree with those that say, too long is too long. When I have a hard time distinguishing if they are a boy or a girl... well, therein lies the problem! Mingus is quite the looker, though!
He gonna have to look tough with that name - "Mingus". That sounds like a disease.
Mingus?
She named a fellow human being Mingus?
Oh well, easy to 'member, eh girls? Rhymes with ****!
D'oh! Bad Otis... bad Otis!
Otis Rail
Awww, how cute they have matching bangs!
Either way, long hair or short he is one good looking kid. He going to be a hottie when he's older.
P.S Love little boys with long hair, but maybe not as long as Ryder's got though.
Handsome dude, gorgeous mama!
My son is 8 and at various times over the last 4 years we've let his hair grow out. I don't really care what it looks like as long as it's clean and combed. Like someone else said, it's only hair, so I'm cool as long as my dude's happy with it.
I would let my boys wear the hair style they want. After all, they are their own people. Who are we to tell them what looks good and what not!
As long as it is clean and combed I don't have a problem.
I love his hair! I like the shaggy hair look, although I HATE it when it's overly "done" like Zac Effron's hair.
BTW, how GORGEOUS is she looking in this picture!!!!!
