Simon Cowell took his lovely mother to lunch at The Ivy for Mother’s Day and from the looks of it they had a great time. I think it’s wonderful that he was with his mom yesterday and even though he can be mean (an understatement), at least we know he loves his parents.

Absolutely right #1, Simon isn’t mean, he is totally honest. If you want to make it in showbiz then you better start growing a thick skin. Some of the people who come and audition think they know it all, they are better than “Mariah and Madonna” and then when Simon tells them that they can’t sing they start freaking out, swearing and yelling.
