Jessica Alba Talks About Her Sexuality

It seems like Jessica Alba gets asked the same question over and over in interviews…how do you feel about being the sexy girl in Hollywood? She opened up about her sexuality in a new issue of Allure Magazine. Here are a few quick quotes from the interview.
On her steamy public image:

“[Hollywood] always play[s] up your sexuality, because that’s what gets men into the theaters. And I never really gave a s— about all that stuff! It’s nothing to be ashamed of. But it is definitely not what I am about by any means!”

On owning her sexuality:

“I don’t think I was comfortable with my sexuality until I was an adult, probably, like, 22 – ” that’s when I stopped apologizing and stopped feeling ashamed. I did the Vagina Monologues in L.A. That made me proud.”

On sex before marriage:

“I never believed women had to be virgins when they got married, or that a woman has to fall in love with a guy just because they’re having sex. I don’t think sex is a big deal. I hated the hypocrisy of it. Men can do whatever, and it’s acceptable.”

  3. Jena says:

#1 The Vagina Monologues is a book (collection of monologues) by Eve Ensler. The monologues are performed everywhere for V-Day.

  4. Alicia says:

“Men can do whatever, and it’s acceptable.”

Yeah, but it does not mean it is right, by any means. Like so many things, it is a double standard but we can’t stoop to that level.

    Isn’t the “Vagina Monologue” a book? I’m confused…

  8. Lili says:

But I agree with what she’s saying

  9. CapturingLife says:

I completely agree with that last bit! :)

  10. Nyx says:

I’m a middle-aged mother of three and I couldn’t agree with her more.

  11. goodgirl says:

Once again, why doesn’t she shut her mouth about the topic?

  12. monette says:

She is actually saying she desperately wishes that’s not all she is, a hot bimbo. But so far she hasn’t proven otherwise. Fortunate for her she is in her 20′s and hasn’t made that many movies, right?

Ps. I was beeing sarcastic, i know she’s almost 40 and has done a tone of bad movies.

  13. april says:

OH SHE’s SOOO DOWN TO EARTH……….(gag!) Whatever!

  14. yea.. so says:

Just when I was starting to like her!

if this chick is not talking about how unsexy is she, then shes talking about her “hispanic” background, of not that! then her unborn child and what she wishes she’ll come out looking like or her hair.

    I am so over it.

Shes pretty but shes aint all that.

  15. owlet says:

every attempt this girl makes to appear intelligent just blows up in her face. sexuality is not what she is about? so why then, did she appear as an erotic dancer in sin city? and shake her ass in honey? why does she pose seductively for every men’s magazine that asks her to? “men can do whatever and get away with it” well yours did, huh sweetheart? he cheated on you and you took him back and got knocked up to keep him. she is a hypocrite and always comes off as vapid and boring. no one is forcing you to make sh*tty movies, so please have your kid and go away.
