Megan Mullally Coming Back To TV

Alright, let’s all just confess…who loved Karen from Will & Grace?!? I did! And I am so happy to hear that she’s coming back to TV. Megan Mullally will be playing Alicia Silverstone’s bad mom in a new ABC comedy for next fall called Bad Mother’s Handbook.

The series, which will receive an official pickup tomorrow at ABC’s upfront presentation, centers on a 32-year-old woman (Silverstone) juggling care of her 16-year-old daughter (Arrested Development’s Alia Shawkat) and her 48-year-old mother (Mullally).

Yeah, I’m definitely going to have to give this show a try. If Megan is half as hilarious in it as she was in Will & Grace, I think we’ll have a winner on our hands :)

Is their going to be a 4th generation coming as well?
By my calculation the daughter should be preggo shortly!

  2. Mrs. Nordy says:

yep. I will totally watch this.

They could have a show about Megan Mullally flying a spaceship and I would watch it. I just think she can carry anything.

oh, and by the way Will and Grace would have been NOTHING with out Megan and Jack

  3. Tamara says:

This could be a good show – just hope they don’t have Megan do the ridiculous Karen voice. That was hard to listen to for a half-hour!

  4. strawberries says:

I missed Karen! glad to see her do something new and I hope the show will come to Europe as well

  5. Olga says:

Never could understand a word she was saying on Will and Grace.

  6. Lara says:

I agree with posters #9 and #10. Both women had babies at 16?

I love Megan Mullally and I normally don’t have a problem with the fictionalization of teen pregnancy. I guess it’s because my 17 year old niece is starting to have sex that this stuff freaks me out! I realize it’s completely the norm these days but that doesn’t mean I have to be okay with it!

  7. Anonymous says:

Uhhhhh…this show was NOT picked up by ABC.

  8. Steven says:

My two fav characters in sitcom history: Suzanne Sugarbaker and Karen Walker. I want a sitcom to star Delta Burke and Megan as sisters. Thats all I want.

  9. guilty pleasures says:

I LOOOVE MM!! She and Jack definitely were huge on Will and Grace. I would watch her do anything. I actually enjoyed her short lived talk show. A comedic genious, this woman. And ‘the Karen voice,’ so very Karen!!!

  10. joe says:

just give karen walker a show. everyone loves karen.

  11. linda says:

    That’s a fantastic idea #17!

  13. Sophie says:

I won’t be watching if she does the “Karen Voice”.

  14. CanuckGirl says:

I love Megan, and I’m very happy she’s coming back! I’m not a big Alicia Silverstone fan, though — I don’t think she’s a great actress — but hopefully she’ll surprise me.

  15. gerard Vandenberg says:

    ……………WHY!!!

  16. a.p. says:

i don’t think anything will ever top karen but i’m mullally fan and will be watching. i just hope will and grace fans can accept her as someone other than karen.

  17. Andrea says:

Is it just me, or does this sound exactly like Gilmore Girls?

  18. Andrea says:

Yes, sounds very similar to Gilmore Girls. With the obvious difference of the mother’s mother.

  19. liz says:

I LOVED her in Will and Grace!! this is exciting… I hope it does well

  20. RutRoe says:

Let’s face it…. If it stars Pimple Face Alicia Silverstone, its going to fail. She’s an annoying piece of shit.

  21. Sherry says:

Sounds like a winner to me.

  22. Jan says:

Sooooooo the grandmother was 16 when she had the daughter who in turn was 16 when she had her daughter.
