Ok, so here are the rest of the shots and a quick synopsis of the night. Then I am going to pass out and catch a flight back home tomorrow morning. UGH this trip was really exhausting!I get to LA and hop in a cab to my hotel. MK from Popbytes (who was a BLAST) calls me and tells me that he just looked up where I was staying and it's really far from where we need to be. So odds are, I wasn't going to have enough time to get ready for the event. Do you know what that means? I went with airplane hair! Nasty, non-showered airplane hair. ICK!!!I really didn't time out the day as good as I should have. I made reservations at The Ivy (yes, I am a tourist) with two of my writers who I had never met before but are based out of LA. They were young and drop dead gorgeous! We had a lot of fun. And PS, you are all right when you say The Ivy is mediocre at best. :) But, I still needed to experience it myself. And yes, there were a ton of paparazzi waiting outside of it. WILD. MK picks me up and off we go to the shuttles that took everyone to the mansion as there wasn't enough parking for the event.ONE HOUR AND A HALF LATER and I'm full blown in the middle of an anxiety attack! There were about 10 people all DYING on a hill in a van unable to get out for "liability reasons". YEAH - we were all begging for water and air. Shout out to Van 3!! :)Finally, we get our stations and are told that the entire event was OUTDOORS! It was FREEZING. Thank goodness I went with skinny jeans and brought a sweater. If I went in a dress, I would have left at that moment. The usuals were on the carpet - MTV, TV Guide, Fox News E! Online etc. Around me were Buzznet, Popbytes, Soap Net, Media TV and a few others. We huddled for warmth.The party itself was filled with 21 year olds (literally) and everyone was done up right. The mansion was picturesque and you obviously weren't allowed inside. Drinks were served and the screaming never stopped. The night had a really great vibe to it. Everyone who was a fan that was there was really excited about it. I bounced out a bit early because I literally couldn't take the cold anymore. On my way out, I ran into Trent from Pink is the New Blog. We've emailed a few times over the years but never really met in person. I introduced myself and we hugged and took a few pictures together and off I went back into the shuttle to get to the cab to bring me to the hotel. Tomorrow morning is an early flight. So I have to work my little tush off tonight to get a bunch of stories up for the AM. Perhaps I will burn some of the burger and fries I had for dinner from room service. That was the best $42 burger and fries meal I ever had. Actually, I'm totally lying. That was not the best of anything... but it still was almost $50 so I at least should pretend.So happy I made the trip and I hope you enjoyed the shots.And PS, Brody is HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT in real life!
