I still enjoy American Idol and I’ve watched this entire season.So far, the top ten have been incredible, though I think we’ve known all along who was going to end up in the top 3. First up we have David Archuleta, boy wonder, who is just plain amazing. Like Randy keeps saying, he could sing a phone book and it would be great. I would have to say that he’s my pick as the winner of American Idol. Then there’s “rocker” David Cook who is great. I’ll go ahead and admit he’s my favorite. It’s going to sound all goofy but his age, style, and ability to mix things up make awesome in my book. Last, but not least, we have Syesha Mercado who has really punched things up a notch in the last 3 weeks and proved that she deserves to be here as well. If you take a look at her recent performances you’d be hard pressed to choose the best, because they were all great.So my next question comes as no surprise, who do you think will WIN American Idol? David A., David C.,or Syesha?
I am in love with American Idol, but I seriously have NO clue as to who is going to win this year. I’m rooting for David Archuleta..but he seems to be more of like a broadway kind of singer, and I really can’t see him doing good in the “pop” category. The other two seem to fit the mold and would transition well into the mainstream of music.
P.S. Syesha’s last name is Mercado
they finally got rid of Jason Castro? Hallelujah! I don’t know what it was, but something about that boy made him land RIGHT in my uncanny valley. Probably whatever made him look like Jar Jar Binks.

I completely agree with the others regarding Archuleta! He is this season’s Melinda Doolittle. Great, great talent, no question, but doesn’t quite do anything for me, and I can’t imagine actual “real world” success, no matter how many fans he has (Ruben Studdard, anyone?).
David Cook is by far the most talented and he deserves to win.
I really enjoyed Brooke White and Jason Castro, but at some point both started going downhill. They both have the style that I listen to so I would buy (or more likely, my husband would pirate…) their albums.
i love both davids…but my fave is david a. they both have major labels ready to sign whoever doesn’t win so they will both be fine!
David Cook is my favorite, I like David A., but he doesn’t seem to show much charisma. Syesha hasn’t really connected with me, but I do admit her last few performances have really gone up a notch.

This one is a tough one to call. I really like David A. and David C. They both have great voices and I think they both will do well regardless of who “wins” American Idol this year. It doesn’t really matter who wins…..they will both get recording contracts regardless. I wish them all luck.
I LOVE David Cook. David A. got such bad press this week because of his pushy father so hopefully that will help David C to win. I agree with one of the above posters, David A is BORING every week…great voice but not original. David Cook on the other hand makes every song his and he has been consistently awesome!!

I totally want David Cook to win! We voted for him a bunch tonight. I used to think David Archuleta would win, but after reading all 20 comments on here, 14 of them are for David Cook, that’s a pretty good majority. He may just have a chance! PLEASE EVERYONE, VOTE FOR DAVID COOK!!!!!
There are some “powerful and influential” people out there who DO NOT want David Archuleta and are manufacturing all kinds of negative press in order to make that happen. David Cook’s voice cannot even compare to Archuleta and American Idol will lose a lot of credibility if Archuleta does not win. He is amazing and the others are not even in the same category.
Who cares. All three of them sound horrible.
Well, being from Missouri, right down the road from Blue Springs, could sway me, but it doesn’t. David Cook could be from anywhere, he is my favorite. The other David might win, but I have no doubt that David Cook will go far. I love how he sung Roberta Flack, and wished his mom a belated Mother’s Day! They are all great, but D. Cook-you are the greatest.
I like D.Cook. He has something that he brings to the stage that D. Archuleta majorly lacks. D.Arch just seems… young. Plus, his dad is annoying, and you know that parents can help make (anyone not in rehab), break (Lindsey), or sometimes rebuild (Brit) a career.
I’m hoping DC. Don’t know how much of it is that he rocks and how much is his sexy half smile.
DAVID COOK ALL THE WAY!! HE IS WELL-ROUNDED AND VERY HOT!! Very humbling and speak his mind. He is the only one who bows when he gets down and clasped his hands like a prayer! He is the utmost sincere guy…check out his childhood talent from his elementary school and his high school musical of Singing in the Rain. He is dancing, flipping, cartwheeling and does more!! WHAT AN EXCEPTIONAL ARTIST. He can sing any genre!!!!! I’m from KC and he is the most humble and honest person you ever met!!
David Cook. Although I’d rather him come in 2nd so he can get right out and start on his album and we dont’ have to wait. I’m so torn! LOL!
I agree that David A. is talented but he doesn’t have any charisma and has been boring of late. He has all these teen fans now, but trust me, after he loses his “cuteness” in a few years, no one will really care about him.
David Cook is authentic and behind all the great arrangements and guitar playing, he’s also got a great voice (which can’t be said about a lot of rockers out there). I almost don’t want him to go to the Finals though because the producers always make the final 2 sing the corniest songs and David Cook doesn’t necessarily need to win the title of American Idol to become a hit maker (look at Chris Daughtry).

I totally agree about David A, he isn’t really into ‘pop’. But, it’s so amazing how he sings! He totally deserves to win. I’m a very opinionated person, and I’m sure you all are too, but VOTE FOR DAVID ARCHULETA!!!!

I’m also a HUGE David Cook fan and really hope he pulls it off. David A. has an amazing voice but he bores me! He doesn’t move around (I haven’t watched every week but the weeks I did watch he sang all slow songs) and he always has his eyes closed! In a way, he reminds me of Ruben. Everyone loves him and he has an amazing voice but I really don’t see him having a great album. All slow ballads? That’s definitely not something I will buy.

I think David A. will win, although I would never buy one of his albums. I love David C., and I’m consistently surprised every week when Syesha isn’t voted off. I think she has an OK voice (although she’s not NEARLY as good as Carly), but her personality bugs, bugs, bugs me…
I agree with you both. David A. is a great singer but he just misses that “it” factor. He always seems nervous and doesn’t seem comfortable on stage at all. I am a David Cook fan all the way. I think he has what it takes to make music that sells. He killed singing Billie Jean by M.J. and shocked the heck out of me with his performance cover of an Mariah Carey song. I just hope he does better then last week.

WTH – BOO go home! Stiff as a stick standing on stage as well – no connection and his little boy voice is sickening!

if you look at all the David A..fans they are all young girls who probably would of not even given him a second glance if he was not on American Idol.. sure he is talented, but is not as talented and original as David Cook..David Cook for sure 100%.. can record albums and make hits that people would go and buy because of his voice and talent.. and his many voice talents, from ballads, to soft rock, to hard rock..etc.. is more multi-talented..which whats sells records..!!!!!..

I hope David Cook will win, he has always been soooooo awesome. He can make any song his own and he sounds terrific. David A. is the same week after week , doesn’t change anything and always sings the same types of songs….Soooooooooooooo boring.
