Beyonce To Appear On Desperate Housewives

Beyonce has landed a cameo on Desperate Housewives! And she's hoping to turn it into something more. Mrs. Jay-Z wants her part on Wisteria Lane to be a recurring role.
"They've already agreed to give Beyonce a cameo appearance. But (we're)
hoping that (she) could be written in for a recurring role, or possibly
even a permanent one."
I'm sort of surprised because a while back the producers turned down Britney for a cameo so I didn't think they were into that kind of casting. I think the hard thing when singers that are SO famous try to go into acting, is that no matter how good they are, it's hard to see them as anyone but themselves.

U all are just mean. I've seen Beyonce in person numerous times and she is a size 8 at most...which is not even the norm since the average size for women in the US is a 12-14 now. The ethnicity is obvious on the posts on this site...how unfortunate.

I love Desperate Housewives, and I love Beyonce, so I can't wait and I think it would be awesome if she was a reoccuring or permanent role.

Argh! I HATE all this "stunt-casting" going on just for ratings! I mean, it's not like we can forget that we're watching Britney or Beyonce when they show up on screen, so it is just a total reminder that takes you out of the story, and quite frankly makes the me think the writers/producers are desperate for ratings to do something like this.

I liked Beyonce in Dreamgirl, although Jennifer Hudson absolutely deserved her Oscar, she was the best actress in that film.
I can see Beyonce going more and more into acting and I think she'll be good.
Luckily she won't be able to decide what to wear ... her outfit is hideous!

I just started watching DHW, last season but I like the show and Bey' is okay. I can see her on there as a cameo, she'd have to be a glamerous type though like a Gabby meets Katherine type, Nothing perm. just a cameo and maybe speratic occurrences. She's too busy to be committed to the show, Maybe she could play the 2nd black person to move to Westeria Ln. Maybe a bitter rival with Eddie, someone from her past!

I love Desperate Housewives, but i just don't think it would be right to cast Beyonce (or any other well known celebrity for that matter either). It would be hard to take the show seriously. For instance, i love Britney, but still i would hate for her to appear on the show. And to all those die-hard fans of Beyonce, no need to get so defensive when people say they don't like her. Everyone's entitled to their opinion. Stop playing the race card all the time, just because they think Beyonce isn't that pretty doesn't mean they're racist or it's got anything to do with the fact she's black...like my boyfriend just doesnt find her attractive. She's not his type, he likes Indian girls (like me) and Bollywood actresses. So he's hardly a racist. He even said himself, Beyonce could pass for Indian if she straightened her hair and dyed her hair dark brown. She also has hazel eyes, which is very common amongst Asian girls. But he said even if Beyonce did all these things he still wouldn't fancy her. So you people should just accept that not people will find Beyonce beautiful, just because you do. Also, stop with all this religious nonsense as well. Yeh im sure us non-beyonce fans are going to hell, we've made God so angry, he will punish us because we've broke one of the ten commandments "thou shall worship beyonce" get a life!!
