Britney Spears And Mel Gibson Taking A Vacation Together

Talk about an odd pairing! Britney Spears and Mel Gibson are said to be jetting off to Costa Rica together as we speak! They left on a private plane, along with Britney's dad Jamie, this morning. Mel has a home in Costa Rica where they will all be staying.
It seems so random, but since Britney and Mel are neighbors in Malibu, maybe they have gotten to know each other over the years. Either way, it's probably good for Britney to get away for a little bit, although her kids aren't able to go along since she needs a special permit to take them out of the country.

People.com reported that Mel's wife is with them as well, I am not sure why everyone else leaves that detail out. I guess the tabloids love the speculation.

I LOVE Mel Gibson. He had some hard times in the public eye and recovered (even though some haters can't move on) so he can probally be a friend and help her. Good for him and good luck to Brit!!
I am so glad Mel is there to help her out. She really needs to get away from Hollyweird for a few days. Good for him! Brit needs help bad.

I think Mel is just giving Britney Jaime a little down time to relax a little. It is amazing many people think Mel has the ulterior motive to "convert" Britney...that's just stupid. He has kids around her age and I personally think he and his wife are trying to show their support for the hard work Jamie's been doing getting Britney on track and to get Britney out of the glare of the paps again so all of Jaime's hard work isn't wasted.
That's pretty random. Her roots are looking a little greasy there! Well, I'm sure she'll have fun.
Didn't they also have widely publicized lunch together a while back? Well, at least he knows what she's going through as far as alcoholism and paparrazi madness. She could use some advice.
