Nicole Richie, Joel Madden and Harlow enjoyed a little family time as they went for a coffee run and enjoyed the gorgeous spring weather. It's nice to see Nicole is a simple pair of jeans and a tee. I guess even fashion divas have a day off... Except for Dita of course... :)

Not looking for ghosts where there are none but hasn't she looked unhappy lately? Or is it just me? She just seems sad all the time and it has nothing to do with the fact that she isn't smiling but rather her entire facial expression and her posture. Post-partum depression, perhaps? ~ Nyx ~
I can't help thinking that too. It would be so sad, I hope if it's right, at least it won't last. I don't know, but Joel looks always so happy, smiling and all... And Nicole rarely smiles. Maybe it's just a wrong feeling we have?
She looks so good!!! She makes the simplest outfits look hot! I dont think she is depressed, I mean we dont see her at home. She has never been one to always smile for teh paps!
She looks so much healthier than she did last year around this time.
She is probably tired. Being a new mommy is tiring. You are sleep deprived. There are just some things daddy can't help with.

I agree she has never been especially smily with the paps. But we just had the impression that she isn't so happy... We do not say she ACTUALLY suffers from post-partum.
I think she looks great and I don't think she looks sad or depressed. If I was out with my child and being hounded by a bunch of strangers (who by the way will go to any length to get a pic) I don't think I would be smiling either.
Maybe that incident with Joel and Linday Lohan is making her sad.
I like how she's 5'1" wearing flat shoes, and still manages to look pretty tall next to him. He looks maybe 4 inches taller. My boyfriend has met both him and his brother and says that they look like trolls, haha. I've seen them in person as well but not up close so I couldn't tell.
You're right! I just noticed that. Nicole is really short, so imagine how short he must be!
Maybe she's upset that she had to attend Pete and Ashlee's wedding and Joel still hasn't popped the question!
