Wow! To find out your sister got married through a tabloid magazine has got to hurt a bit. Jessica Alba's brother had NO IDEA that his sister was planning on getting married on Monday. In fact, when he was told of the news, he just couldn't believe it.
"My sister!? I’m going to have to call her!"
And when asked if Cash was the right guy for Jessica, Josh added,
"Well, he’s my brother-in-law now!"

I would NEVER get married without telling my immediate family- I would want them there. Maybe they are not that close?
if thats true thats pretty fed up! i feel bad for the family!
It's possible he was just kidding. Jessica is pretty private, so maybe he just didn't want to comment.
My husband and I eloped and my poor mother found out about it when her friend called to say our marriage license was in the paper(small town, what can I say, your speeding ticket would be in there too). I don't think she ever forgave me. I was only 19 then and wouldn't do it now but at 19 it sounded like a good idea.
Even if I had a non-wedding wedding (strictly legal without the pomp & circumstance) I would still inform my family.
Maybe it's like Passerby said, the family is just keeping mum.
Maybe they were afraid their secret would get out and then they woud be bombarded by the papparazzi.
I did the same thing when I got married. Our family was ticked, but I was under no obligation. You never know, maybe they do plan on having a big family wedding with everyone involved some time in the future.
I think it's cute that it was their little secret.
