Kim Cattrall Feels Fortunate That Botox Is Available
May 26, 2008 AT 08:09 am

"I feel fortunate that those aids are out there, but go easy on it. Less is more. I don't want to look 20, or even 30. I'm happy to look middle 40s for as long as I can."
"I think in your 20s you don't know who you are, so there is a lot of experimentation. In your 30s you're sort of wondering where you're going, if you're going to be married by a certain age, and if you're going to have kids. The 40s decade is, 'OK, this is who I am, I've come to terms with it. I think what comes with age is a real acceptance of self."
-- Kim CattrallÂ

She forgot to mention the 50's, where you're desperate to regain your youth. J/K! Well spoken Kim.
she has a point (although i just turned 20).
It's funny that she says "what comes with age is a real acceptance of self" because she's not accepting herself if she feels the need to get Botox. Well I don't know, maybe I'm being too harsh on her. She is in a shallow industry after all. Looks mean everything and older women really don't have a chance to get good acting roles. So I understand her need to get Botox. Besides the last statement, I totally agree with her and the stages you go through life.
I appreciate her honesty about it.
she looks great. Not only face wise, but body wise too. She's fit and we've all seen her rock hard abs! Botox definitely doesn't do that.
she seems sad and somewhat pathetic. She's contradicting herself.
I love that she is being honest about it. I think it helps all the young girls out there that look up to celebs. Most of these people were not born that way, they have been helped out along the way.
So she accepts herself but she wants plastic surgery to look younger? Hmmmm. Okay.......
Most hollywood people denies having botox. At least she was honest about it. So she wants to look good....is that a crime??
Sorry but Kim is delusional. She does NOT look mid-40's. She looks close to 60 IMO.
I jsut recently turned 41. In the past year, prior to my 41st B-day, it has been a road of discovery. I am accepting my role as wife and mother. For a few years there, it was a difficult road to travel. It gets easier with age to relax and let "myself" out for when I have "me time".
She could use a boob lift while she's at it. Just sayin'.
I am mid 40's and I do agree with her assessment of the different ages. Now that my body has gone to "Bleep", I am finally comfortable with who I am. If we only knew then what we know now!!
awww don't be so hard on yourself!
"... The 40s decade is, 'OK, this is who I am, I've come to terms with it. I think what comes with age is a real acceptance of self." -- and *then* you start taking botox. ::headdesk::
Good for her! And I agree. At least she's honest!
