Jamie Lynn Spears Wants To Name Her Daughter…

Jamie Lynn Spears wants to name her daughter….drumroll please….Emma Jean. It’s not too out there like some celebrity names. Pretty normal, by Hollywood standards. What do you think?

And in more Jamie Lynn news, apparently she and fiance Casey Aldridge are going to wait a little bit longer before taking the plunge and getting married. One factor is the tension between Jamie Lynn and her parents and another is that Jamie doesn’t want to be pregnant when she walks down the aisle.

"I don’t want to get married with a big bump under my dress."

And Britney is really impressed with how her sister is handling all this.

"I am so proud of my sister," Britney was recently overheard saying. "She seems to really have it all together."

Jamie was stupid to get pregnant in the first place, but atleast shes not making anymore stupid choices like Brittney.Plus shes dealing with everythin thats going on pretty well. I think she should be able to name her daughter whatever the hell she wants without being critisized about it.

  2. Passerby says:

your names just sound stupid!! marical? justice? faith? magic? think of something normal maybe.

  3. Passerby says:

    im happy 4 her
if u wanna go out my email is redwings-23@hotmil.com
    im really hot
she better be better thn her f-ing sister. she is such a bad example 4 her

  4. Passerby says:

How do YOU know that he is??

Because she said so? Yeah, because historically women have always been so truthful on this subject.

  5. Passerby says:

If I were Casey’s mom, I would tell Casey to have that baby’s DNA tested. I don’t think Jamie’s baby is Caseys’. This kid is going to get stuck paying for a baby that is not his.

  6. Passerby says:

“Pretty normal, by Hollywood standards”?? What does that *mean* Vera? Do you think it’s not normal by “normal” standards?

Emma Jean is a totally plain, totally normal–even sweet–name, by any standard!

  7. me646 says:

Adorable name. I like this girl, something about her makes me like her. She just seems real.

  8. Passerby says:

Britney’s and Jamie Lynn’s grandmother Jean killed herself…I don’t think is a good idea to keep naming these country hicks after a woman who committed suicided. Is just bad karma, break the chain give that baby a name with better history. Look at Britney bitch is crazy…

  9. Passerby says:

if her sister “had it all together” she would not be pregnant at 17.

  10. Sorcha says:

    Cute name.

  11. Passerby says:

how do you know the child is not his? where you in the same room as her during conception?

  12. Passerby says:

    Much better than Apple.

  13. Passerby says:

I think the name Emma is cute. Not a big fan of Jean though. But it’s all up to Jamie and she can name her baby whatever the hell she wants. But it’s nice to see that she’s not giving it some weird crazy name like all the other celebrities. Like Suri…since when is that even a word?

  14. Manda says:

    what??!!
    its not plain…its sweet!

  15. Manda says:

    i think its cute :)
i like naming after family members

  16. Passerby says:

I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess that Jamie Lynn actually has more money than Casey. So she’s the one that will be paying for everything.

  17. lis says:

    It’s a nice name.

  18. vita says:

LOL that’s what I was going to say. I doubt Casey’s actually paying for anything. He is an 18-yr old pipe-layer. ~ Vita ~

  19. Passerby says:

Very cute. I hope they just call her Emma though.

  20. Miza says:

“It’s not too out there like some celebrity names.” “Pretty Normal” Huh? What’s a normal name then if Emma Jean isn’t? I think it’s a simple and normal name especially by Hollywood standards and for sure isn’t out there at all.

  21. Passerby says:

my name is emma, i don’t not like it, but if i was given a choice i would have chosen something a little less traditional and more upbeat and interesting… everyone is called emma!
jean on the other hand, eww. i think it’s a little dated, something perhaps my grandma would have been called (not intended to be offensive).
emma and jean together don’t really suit, maybe just stick to emma.

  22. Miss_M says:

I wouldn’t get married at all if I was her. Yes, he is the baby’s father but that doesn’t mean that she is going to spend the rest of her life with him.

She’s only 17! And being pregnant isn’t a valid reason to get married in my eyes. If she does get married then I’ll bet they end up getting divorced a few years later down the line.

  23. Passerby says:

Yeah it probably won’t last but cut her some slack. She doesn’t know any better.

  24. Jenny says:

No one thought the name Emma was strange, dumb, or “country” when it was picked for Ross & Rachel’s daughter on Friends.

I think it’s a perfectly adorable name. As for the middle name, not only is it a family name, it’s also a common middle name in the south.

Leave the poor girl alone. It’s not like she’s the first teenager to get pregnant. More importantly, she won’t be the last. I hope all the closed minded fools out there can get their heads out of the sand and wait for the day that their child comes home and says they are pregnant.

At least she’s planning on raising the child herself, as is evidenced by the home she just bought, and the nesting that is taking place. Could be worse, she could be passing the child off to family to raise.

    Way to go Jamie Lynn!

  25. Passerby says:

    Well said.

  26. Megan name master says:

I think that Emma Jean is not the best you should try something like
Paige-Lynn that way the baby will have some of your name in her name. If I were you i and my name was jamie lynn i would name my baby Paige-Lynn so it had a part of me. You name it whatever but i think your choice will be pefect if you name her Emma Jean well see ya l8ter Jamie Lynn and
    Emma Jean.

  27. Jnapes says:

I think it’s a little weird and she could think of better names

  28. buttilicius says:

  30. annielovesfred says:

emma jean sounds a little ho down to me.

  31. Passerby says:

NO IT DOESNT IT IS CUTE……….

  32. annielovesfred says:

emma jean sounds a little ho down to me.

  33. Passerby says:

    Jean is Britney’s middle name.

  34. Liz says:

I figured she would’ve had the baby by now… it seems like she’s been pregnant forever!!! I think the name is good… it fits.

  35. Elaine-Mac says:

I think it is a lovely traditional name…but I really don’t understand why people esp celebs, announce their bumps gender and name before they are born. My husband and I really wanted to keep that to ourselves until our children were born.

  36. Passerby says:

    That name is couuuuuuuntry!

  37. PardyHardy says:

Billy Jean is not my lover…
Anywho, I think its boring… she should name it ‘Peanut’, the next one can be ‘Butter’, and the third can be ‘Jelly’, if there’s a fourth it can be ‘Toast’, but if there’s a fourth and a fifth they can be ‘Sand’ and ‘Wich’…

  38. Riviera says:

    LOL!!!

  39. Robin8331 says:

I love that name!!! Emma is a beautiful name and I like how she’s using Britney’s middle name. :)

  40. Kelly says:

Emma Jean is her late Grandmothers name. Brit was given part of her name as her middle name.

I think it’s col to use a family name.
