Ashlee Simpson And Pete Wentz Confirm Pregnancy!!!

Ashlee Simpson And Pete Wentz Confirm Pregnancy!!!

So happy for them!!! Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz have finally confirmed what we've all been speculating...she's pregnant! Pete wrote up a little something in his blog to share the good news with the world.

"While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after
the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our
first child. This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family."

Well, now we won't have to play the "Is that a bump or is she expecting a food baby," game. :)

Congrats to the newlyweds, this really is a special time in their lives.

Ashlee has also said that she has taken Pete's last name and will go by Simpson-Wentz publicly.

"I think that that's something that a woman should do when they're marrying a
man," the pop star lil' sis of Jessica Simpson told the magazine. "It's a
tradition that I think is a great tradition."

Thanks Heather!

I can understand why they waited, I don't think they were messing with the media, they wanted to make sure they weren't going to lose the baby and the chances drop after the first trimester. I know that the only thing harder than losing a baby, is telling everyone that you lost it.

Congrats to them! I hope it wasn't an accident though and it was just a shotgun marriage.

TOTALLY a shotgun affair. Because, you know, unless you're married in some GODLY way by your freaking father, your child just isn't an actual, real, live child or whatever.

I can't help but think that she's a bit young to be having babies, rich or not it still takes a lot to care for a baby. I mean she's like what 22 or 23 ?

Congrats to them! I kept going back and forth thinking, Is she? Isn't she? But they are an adorable couple and will probably make wonderful parents!

not a fan of them but they seems to be in love. best wishes. hopefully that evil father of hers can keep minding his business.

i dont know that 22 or 23 is too young for other women, but i think she seems like a very immature 22 year old. she carries herself like a teenager, and so does her new husband. It's a good thing they can afford all the best nannies in the world, because we all know hollywood stars can't go anywhere without their personal help.

I wouldn't say that she is too young to have a child. I would say she is too immature to have a child.

Passerby Passerby said:

I totally agree. He's not all that mature for his age (29) either.

Yay, congrats to them! So exciting. I love his statement: "This is truly the most joyous time in our lives". Best of luck to them!

This is gonna be one majorly fugly kid, and it will likely be talentless like its "parents."

Maybe, in reality, Pete Wentz is a eunich, and PaPa Joe Pimpson is the father, which would make him the grandfather, too. With these media-whoring trash-bags, I wouldn't be at all surprised.

Do these two boobs get up every morning and cake on that crappy black eyeliner? I think of the term "bumpin' nasties," which seems more than appropriate for these two hacks.

"woman should do"? what the he*&... I respect that it's her choice but we don't have to change our names if we don't have to... it's a personal choice my dear!

Polly Polly said:

Couldn't agree more, entirely a womans choice! And I'm guessing little Ashlee doesn't realize this "tradition" stems from women being owned by their husbands like objects, but then again, I'm guessing Ashlee doesn't know much.

I also agree! luckily I'm from spain, I can't change my name, and my children will have 2 last names. :D
I like better this tradition!

Well I see why they waited to confirm, it's not like they wanted to play games with the media, they just wanted to make sure that they weren't going to loose the baby. If they did loose the baby, at least they would have to go through it in private. Had they announced earlier and lost the baby, everyone would know and it would be that much harder to deal with it. Congratulations to them and I hope everything goes well!

I understand babies are exciting to people and all...but people get so nosy about pregnancies like it's everybody's business! Nobody else's finds it annoying?

"Are you pregnant!?"
"No."
"Are you pregnant!?"
"No!"
"Are you pregnant!?"
"Yes..."
"Congratulatioooons! I'm so happy for youuuu!"

I feel sorry for every pregnant woman because it seems the whole world is up your nose and feels entitled to hold its breath til you tell it what it wants to know...Just cause it's good news doesn't mean it's any of your business! Leave people alone...(Falls entirely on deaf ears).

Anyways, I swear whenever I get pregnant, I am gonna call up the newspapers and and see if they give a crap.... They'll probably care about as much as I care about Ashley Simpson being preggo's..... Don't Care!!! Oh, wow she's having a baby, the exact same thing that millions of women do each year, but wow she's so special... Give me a break...

Passerby Passerby said:

A woman SHOULD take her husbands name? Oh shut it. argh. Like the feminist movement never happened. Unfortunately, I like Pete Wentz cus he seems to be a fairly smart dude, I will never understand his choice in women though. I how does one willingly marry into the simpson family. And I hate the SImpson sisters, they butcher whatever they do.

Passerby Passerby said:

Melanie, I'm not entirely sure what you're calling me up there, but if you have a problem with that message, there's something wrong with you...

Beetles Rule Beetles Rule said:

I find this situation so ironic. I mean, older sister Jessica Simpson was heavily marketed as being pro-abstinence until marriage, and their family is conservative and religious. Go figure that Jessica Simpson would hold off on sex until after marriage, but Ashlee would not only have sex before marriage, but become pregnant too! Obviously the kid was conceived before marriage, since they only married a few weeks ago but Ashlee's already beyond the first trimester. It's just peculiar to see two sisters from the same family act so differently.

Also -- is it me, or does it see that the father is a LOT more overprotective of Jessica, despite her being the older one? I keep reading headlines about Tony Romo wanting Joe Simpson to butt his nose out of things...meanwhile, Ashlee is given enough freedom to get knocked up prior to the marriage and engagement. It doesn't quite seem fair for Jessica. Her father is ruining her romantic life.
