I can’t keep up with these two…one second they’re broken up, the next they’re back together but she’s giving him ultimatums, and now UsWeekly is reporting that Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo are back together under one condition…her dad stays out of the relationship.

Their being together is on "trial" and is dependent on Papa Joe "leaving them alone". Ouch, that’s rough…and you always have to wonder how long a relationship with conditions can really last. Whether you like it or not, a significant others often come with baggage, including family…which is not something that’s easy to change.

Not a surprise reading about this. It’s actually quite funny. Tony better run away from this family as fast as he can! Pimp Joe’s next plan will be for Tony to get Jessica pregnant so she can be in the media more. I mean, what else is there for him to do? He’s tried just about everything else. I realized just how creepy he was when Jessica was filming Dukes of Hazard and her video for These Boots Are Made for Walkin when he had to be on location every day watching her in her bikini acting like a whore. That is disgusting!
I think the relationship is doomed. Creepy Papa Perv isn’t going to butt out for too long. I agree that your significant others come with baggage including meddling parents, however Joe seems obsessed with his daughter’s body and that is not normal meddling, that is sick. The whole family seems twisted. I think Tony got himself stuck in that family and between Jessica and her father, he can’t find a way out.
How do we even know for sure if Papa Joe is intervening this much on their relationship? All we know is he like to talk about her boobs.

I think of Ashlee and Jessica as part of a perverted Baby Jane-kind of family. That daddy of theirs – what a creep. I used to think Nick Lachey was kind of a mimbo but no more; he got out while he could, proving his intelligence (however dwarved it may be.)
It’s one thing to have family involved in a relationship, it’s an entirely different thing to have Joe Simpson standing at the foot of the bed telling you how to hump his daughter….or at least that’s the creepy vibe I get from him.

I really dislike it when parents intrude more than they should. Jessica should have learned her lesson long ago and buggered off to live on her own. Privacy and independence does a person good. However, it looks like she will forever be stuck in the parental cage. Kinda sad. I like her and think she would do quite well on her own.
This is one screwed up family. I bet Tony and Pete did some serious male bonding. I think they waxed each other’s legs.

Yes, I think Papa Joe is way too involved in his kids’ lives. They’re grown women and at some point you have to back off, let them live, let them make thier own mistakes. If my father/mother in law were like that you can be sure I’d be giving ultimatums too- it’s not healthy for your relationship to have that kind of intrusion.
Parents should never be so closely involved as he is.
