I'm just a simple girl from Queens. So whenever I see ads like these, it takes me a moment to register what is going on. Is this high fashion? Someone please explain.
Aren't ads supposed to make me want to purchase the clothing? Or at least spark interest in the line itself? Then again, if their goal was to get people talking... here we all are.

as she always looks - uncomfortable, awkard, stupid and about she looks if shes been plastered to the beach for about 60 years - absolutely horrible. What was Marc J thinking of - I use to credit his cloths until that one has been wearing them - more like D&B now!
I am not a fan of the ads, and I really would like to see her smile every once in a while. Just looking at her depresses me sometimes.

they are great!! and they make us talk about it. We ALL know who Marc Jacobs is - and he probably likes that we don't understand. We are not the elite fashion crowd.
For someone who is concerned about how people take photos of her I'm surprised that she lets these kind of pictures be put of her in high magazines I dont get it. Though you do talk about it....
I think these ads fall under the theory "any press is good press". They're a bit irreverent as well. I enjoy them.

I love them. I love that it shows that VB doesn't take herself so seriously that she needs to look glam and perfect in every photoshoot. ;) They are off-beat and I love that.

Personally, I think Victoria Beckham is gross! She is not good looking, stylish or classy. What is the big deal? And do you see what she did to Katie Holmes? She used to be so cute. Now she looks old and unattractive.

I've never found Victoria to be attractive but that's just me. I think maybe if she smiled from time to time and put on 5-10 pounds she would look better.

I'm not a fan of Victoria to start with, she always looks in need of nourishment and she rarely has a smile on her face. She looks terrible in this picture, like an old leather handbag but one thing I will say in favour of the add is that I will remember who Marc Jacobs is.
Their goal is to get people talking. Most high fashion items never make it from the runway to retail.
