Lindsay Lohan Afraid To Go To Hospital Because Of Press
Lindsay Lohan suffered from an asthma attack on Thursday and was afraid to go to the hospital because she feared how the press would twist it. At least that is what happened according to Dina, Lindsay's mother.
"She was losing oxygen. She couldn't breathe," Dina Lohan says about her 21-year-old daughter, whose emergency room trip with deejay Samantha Ronson was photographed.
On Friday, the star's rep claimed that she went to the hospital to visit a friend.
"She was afraid to go the hospital because [the paparazzi] were gonna write about it. She was sick," the elder Lohan adds at an event for Project Cuddle. "If you were sick, and you're mother couldn't even take you to a hospital because paparazzi will fabricate some story, you know, it's sad. It's really sad."
That is really sad. To question getting help for something that is affecting your health because of the spin that might occur. How terrible! Thankfully, Lindsay is doing fine.
see, i just don't feel sorry for her as she has done sososososo much to bring the paps to her. i just CAN NOT find it in me to feel sorry for her. she has brought this all on herself and now her older sister, i mean mom, is enabling the little sister to go down the VERY same path. Dina should be fined for her mothering skills. it's mean, i know, but that is how i feel.
Well that's a bit of a ridiculous excuse, don't you think? She doesn't alter any other of her behavior, no matter how bizarre, on account of how the media might twist it, but she won't go to the hospital for fear they might say what? That she needs a doctor? What a load of baloney.
Dina, shut up!!! She is such an enabler to "poor". Lindsay. Ugh. Since when will Lindsay not use the paps for anything, esp when it gets her more attention. Dina & Lindsay are sad. Really, really sad.

What if a Lohan showed up and no photographer bothered to cover this? I think the Lohan would not like it one little bit. The Lohan's remind me of monkey's in a cage. Sort of sad when you think about it.

I know how terrifying is not to be able to breath....worst feeling in the world...however, she chain smokes, has multiple partners, drinks, does drugs, etc. maybe if she took better care of her health this might not have happened. she kind of did it to herself

Lindsay's girlfriend took her to the hospital. It's a pity hospitals don't have adequate security to keep photographers out of the building.

I think both of Lindsay's parents just need to shut up and stop talking to the press. They both drive me crazy. I just can't imagine how hard it is for Lindsay not having normal parents to keep you sane and "grounded". No matter what Lindsay does, I have a soft spot in my heart for her. :)

She is using again. Look how thin she is. And I agree with everyone else. If your health is indeed in danger, then paparazzi should not factor into any of your plans to visit a doctor or medical facility. The only time it would, of course is maybe if your were oding and didn't want anyone else to know. And Dina and Michael are the worst parents ever. They have exploited their children to their own gain, and use the fame of one child to promote whatever they are backing this week.
This is so stupid. Photogs are okay in every other aspect of this person's life, but she's too "afraid" to seek medical help because of them? Gack. The whole family needs to seek help.
i actually find it really sad whatever happen to lindsay she was so promising when she was 17 ever since she's been a downward mess. i really don't think she can be saved, along with britbrit.

Umm ok. So Dina is up for mother of the year again? If it was my kid who couldn't breathe properly, the devil himself would not stop me from taking them to get medical treatment.

Who cares? If she had of shut her mouth no one would have known. Did she say it so people would feel sorry for Lindsay?
