Angelina Jolie To Have Twins By Natural Birth

Angelina Jolie To Have Twins By Natural Birth

Angelina Jolie is so close to her due date that she could be giving birth any day now. And she's preparing herself to do things the natural way!

"She prepared for a natural child birth for Shiloh and was very disappointed when her doctors told her she would have to undergo a Cesarean section," a source close to Angelina tells OK!. "She is praying everything will go her way and she will be able to enjoy a natural birth."

But, in case that's not possible, she'll still be happy as long as the babies are healthy. The family even has round the clock nurses on hand who are staying until the twins arrive.  They are ready!

"Whether Angelina experiences natural childbirth or has a scheduled C-section, she will not go to full term with the twins. She's been told to expect the babies early, and that was the reason she and Brad went early to France — so they would be ready for their babies whenever they decide to make their appearance."

With C-sections and the whole "too Posh to push," movement started by Victoria Beckham years ago, I was actually surprised to read that Angie wants a natural birth. Do you think she could be the one to reverse the c-section trend in Hollywood?

if you having twins is much safe for both children and mother to have a c-section.

That is not true in anyway!!!!! I gave birth to twins 6 years ago all natural!!!!!! I refused to be cut open especially when it is not necessary. Everything turned out perfect and my babies were huge for twins!!!! Check your facts first or if you have been there then you have some room to make calls like that!!!!

About time a celebrity does the right thing and has a baby the natural way. Scheduling c-sections is HORRIBLE. Its like women don't care enough about their baby to wait until its the right time. The only excuse for a c-section is because you NEED one, not want one. DISGUSTING!!!!!

First of all.... she probably would like a natural birth so she can get to experience it at least once but under her conditions (previous c-section, high risk pregnancy, and not being strong enough to have natural birth because of weight) she will most likely have c-section. SO doesnt matter what she might want is not her call. Your comment is HORRIBLE and lack sympathy for the right for a woman to choose whether to have a natural birth or not. We are in the 21st century and guess what... we no longer need midwives, have to suffer pain if you dont choose to. So women who have epidurals are also Horrible???

Excuse me? please tell us that you weren't "thinking" when you wrote that. The RIGHT thing is to have a baby come into the world the way you want, either being vaginally or by section. Claiming one is better than another is just ridiculous. Geez, I just don't understand women!

I am all for Natural Birth, (a fan of "Business of Being Born" ) but I believe the comment "Disgusting" is too much. No women giving north are disgusting to me.

I thought once you had a c-section all births following are c-sections. I think it's a trend in hollywood to have c-sections is because they all have stds. (not kidding)

Vera, If you don't mind, could you email me about this? I have been looking for a VBAC mommy. I just had my first child 2 months ago and had to go c-section because he was breech. I would love to hear about what docs told you about the vbac and what made you decide to take the chance. My doc doesn't do them and he said I would have to go to another doctor if I wanted to try naturally next time.

I had a C-section for my first child and subsequently had 3 VBAC's. I didn't think the C-section was bad at all. My one-liner to anyone who asks is that ,"With a C-section I couldn't stand up, and with a natural birth I couldn't sit down." Just find a Dr. who's willing to go VBAC with you. I have a niece who had a C for her first for a breech delivery and her Dr. really didn't give her the choice of going VBAC even though I tried to tell her she would feel better doing so. Take care and good luck!

I'll be having my third scheduled c-section next month (NOT by choice....first was breech, 2nd was a repeat and this one will be as well). I'm surprised they'll let her attempt a VBAC w/ twins, but if she can pull it off good for her! And because of insurance costs (specifically malpractice), most doctors in the US will do a repeat C vs. a VBAC. It sucks, but in our litigious society, it's been a ramification.

If you have a c section and give birth within 5 years i think they automatically do a c section because of the danger of tearing scar tissue?? If she had a c section with the first and she's prego with twins i think they wouldn't chance it with natural.

passerby at 4:17 - you might not have been kidding, but your comment made me LMAO!! I've heard different things about the VBAC (vag. birth after c-section)... some say it's OK and some say you gotta do all c's after having one. I guess it depends on the situation. I never knew that posh started the c section trend!!! I remember Britney & Xtina doing it more recently, but that's it. As far as what SHOULD be done - I've always maintained that it's each person's individual choice. Having a baby is so personal and each mom needs to do what's best for her and her baby. I feel the same way about the breastfeeding controversy. To each his own!!

Actually Marta, thats not true. A C-section is not the healthiest thing to do if mother and babies are not in distress and everything is normal. I know a mom who had twins naturally after a c-section... AT HOME with a midwife. Both babies were perfect, born absolutely healthy with zero complications. Angie has always struck me as a woman who feels like pregnancy and childbirth are empowering events in a woman's life. I was surprised to hear that she had a c-section the first time till I found out Shiloh was breech. My fingers are crossed that Angie will get the birth experience she wants, and two perfectly healthy babies along with it! PS. I think the whole "too posh to push" phenomenon is pathetic and terribly vain! If some of those twits knew how short my recovery was with my daughter, they'd wish they'd tried it natural too. I've had workouts that were more painful to recover from. LOL

Here here!!! Well said! And as to the ""enjoy" labor" comment below... Many women do actually enjoy it. Not to say there is no pain, or they enjoy the pain, but it's like running a marathon. The sense of pride and accomplishment from that event not to mention the sweet little baby they get as a result can actually be called an enjoyable experience. I have also read that just because a woman has a "pain free" birth doesn't mean that she rates the birth as a more enjoyable experience than mothers who went without any pain meds. I find this topic interesting if you can't tell!

I've had two vaginal births. I have to say that my second one was the most satisfying experience of my life. I had an epidural so the pain was minimal, but being able to feel my baby come into the world was incredible. I am saddened to see so many celebrities chose csections. I think that cutting into your body is a major surgery and would avoid it and the complications it could bring at all costs.
Callie (not verified)Callie (not verified) said:
Also, it depends on what kind of c-section you had the first time as to what happends the second. A "classic" is where the incision is vertical on your tummy and requires a repeat C (due to the possiblility of splitting the scar tissue in the uterus). The "bikini" or horizontal incision is low down on the uterus and a natural birth can usually be attempted. Just FYI

I was about to post the exact same thing but you beat me to it....How that is enjoyable I do not know
KaciK (not verified)KaciK (not verified) said:
I guess you and Ellie haven't experienced the truest sense of accomplishment from fruits of hard labor (no pun intended). There is nothing more enjoyable or rewarding. This is what women alone can do and the elation that comes from knowing you did something amazing, without intervention, as nature intended, there is no better feeling. With that said, sometimes natural childbirth isn't an option. If someone has to have intervention I'm glad it is available to her but I wish people would at least consider having children the way our Grandmother's did before us.

never given birth but it seems to be the best way. sometimes it is difficult to give birth to twins by normal delivery and previous c section. It might rupture. most Hollywood trends though are annoying and will work for you if you are Beckham, Madonna, and the rest of this shallow cohort
Passerby (not verified)Passerby (not verified) said:
It won't be up to Angie. Her doctor will decide. More and more, they're going back to the old "once a C-section, always a c-section" rule because there have been more uterine ruptures during VBACs. It's very rare to have twins vaginally, and she has already had a C-section once...I bet she has another one, whether she wants to or not.

FINALLY a celeb that is going to be a REAL WOMAN and let the baby(s) come out the way God intended. I am tired of these prissy celebs scheduling C-sections. Let the doctor decide what is safer, but otherwise plan on doing it vaginally.
Passerby (not verified)Passerby (not verified) said:
What makes you think that only "REAL WOMEN" have natural, vaginal births? I scheduled my elective c-section and it doesn't make me any less of a woman." Any woman who gives birth, no matter which way they have that baby is a "REAL WOMAN."
