Ashanti Promoting New CD

Ashanti wore an all white outfit while promoting her brand new cd, The Declaration at the Virgin Megastore in NYC. I had the opportunity to attend this promotion, but had already committed to meeting Miss Brooke Shields instead. Looks like it was a lot of fun! Ashanti is quite the performer.Â

I've been reading the post on every story here, it seems everytime Vera post a story about a black artist, everyone comments on that particular artist's body. "oh they have big ham legs or big booty" but if it's a white celebrity not one person mentions body type. If you don't believe me read the other stories here. The one post about Queen Latifah or the past ones with Beyonce, her body or her hair is mentioned...Black, latino and white women are built different. A black woman like Ashanti feels comfortable in her body to wear an oufit like that. Black and latina women don't have the same hang ups about body image that white women do. Is a fact, research has been done on this. The percentage of white girls that suffer from eating disorders are far higher than that of latina or black. If Ashanti feels good with what she wears, and she looks good so let her be. I wonder what you ladies look like? sitting here making fun of Ashanti and her body. She is gorgeous, in the black and latino community a woman that looks like Ashanti is considered a goddess...please white women take care of your eating disorders and your bad body image.
Actually, you're way off. People here DO talk about body types on white celebrities too. For example, Mischa Barton, or the Olsens, or Angelina. The list goes on and on. And, if you read what's been written here, MORE people are bashing whites than those of colour. Not ONE person mentioned her being black, and all of a sudden there are people throwing out rude comments against whites. You are being so stereotypical saying all whites should take care of their eating disorders and bad body image.
