How funny is this list?! Madonna made the list for her regular accent, not for one that she tried to perfect in a movie role. hhahahahahahah
The fact that Dick Van Dyke made the list has me in tears because my house is currently on a Mary Poppins role and I have to sit through that performance three times a day. It really is quite bad. I'm just surprised they thought to include him. The rest of the actors on OK! Magazine's top ten are much more recent pieces.

I didn't know Ben Affleck was in Shakespeare in Love. How did I miss that?

He played Ned who played Mercutio. lol I didn't notice it the first time I watched either, but I did the last time and was floored! And imagine me, just anguished to see Colin Firth playing that dispicable fiance! I just adore him but not that character he played! LOL
LMAO. I'm going to have to go back and watch it now to see! That's like when Matt Damon was in Eurotrip...I was watching the credits and was thinking...."WHAT?!?! WHERE?!?!"...and had to go back thru and find him.

What about Tom Cruise's 'Irish' accent in 'Far and Away'. It was terrible!
Ok, I like Kevin Costner but I think it's widely known that in all the movies he has been in, he has used the same monotonous voice and tone in every single one. LOL And OH!!! Leave Dick Van Dyke's accent alone!!! LOL I LOVED it!! So corny it was perfect for the character he played! I'm such a goofball and try to mimic him at home... drives the hubby and kids crazy!! LOL Now I feel like some Mary Poppins!! :)
Ok people talk about Madonna, but she's been living in England for goodness sakes AND her friggin HUSBAND is British. Of course she has a twinge of an accent and some coloquialisms (sp?). I visited North Carolina last weekend and spent about 30 minutes talking to a lady in Walmart and came out of there with a slight drawl. Luckily it cleared up faster than the mysterious rash i was getting some cream for, but it was there! It could happen to YOUUUUUUUUU.
i can't believe they forgot Drew Barrymore in Ever After! she was painful, i walked out of that movie because i couldn't listen to haaaer spaykeeng loike thaaat
LOL Ooooh I know what you mean! It is AWEFUL. I can't believe Winona Ryder in Bram Stoker's Dracula didn't make it! I can hardly watch that movie because of her bad acting/accent...and for the record, I really like both of those actresses! :)
I would have to say #10 is SO wrong. Elijah Wood's accent is great in LOTR!!!! He has a proper British Accent. OK! Mag is a bunch of wankers!!!
And what about Angelina Jolie in Alexander???

Bollocks! Elijah Wood was very good - quite English. Gwyneth was surprisingly goo with the English (London) accent. Costner was absolutely SHITE and lazy - no attempt at a British accent at all. Dick Van Dyke should be at number one ... the fact that it's still being talked about nearly 50 years after he made it means it was truly terrible! I should know - I'm British!
WOAH! You definitly missed one. It should have made number 1. Drew Barry Moore in "Ever After". That was the WORST accent ever!
How about Mischa Barton in...anything?
For the record, they digitally altereed Natalie Portman's accent in the Star Wars movie so that one doesn't really count.
What about Brad Pitt in Snatch? That was pretty horrible.
OhmyGod, I loved him in that movie. LOL. Of course, I've never met a real..."english" gypsy...I think? But I thought he NAILED that part. Of course, they could sound completely different and I'd never know.
Dick Van Dyke is supposed to have a Cockney accent. It's supposed to show his status and how it's different from the kids and Mary Poppins. His accent was perfect for the character, not how you think every British person should sound.
ScarJo at no. 1? I'm guessing you're not English. Her accent in The Girl With the Pearl Earring was wonderful. It went down a notch in The Prestige, but still good. Gwyneth Paltrow at 9? Once again, you're not British, are you?
lol worst accent ever has to go to brad pitt in seven years in tibet(1997) he tried to be austrian and .. well it didnt go over very well.. haha youtube it:P
