Sarah Jessica Parker Shopping In The City

Sarah Jessica Parker Shopping In The City

Who would go shopping in the dead heat unless they absolutely had to? I'm talking baby food and toilet paper. Yesterday's temperatures melted the mascara off my lashes but Sarah Jessica Parker still decided to go out and hit up Dean and Deluca for some necessities.

I had a business appointment in the city (which I will write about on Saturday) and I could barely get out of my car that's how hot it was. When I got home, I stood in front of my AC vent until my daughter started to ask on repeat, "Mommy, what are you doing? What are you doing? What ARE you doing?"

I have to tip my hat to those readers who live in areas where it never cools down. Summer heat and humidity is like Kryptonite for me.

How can she shop in those shoes? When I shop, I like to be comfortable. My feet would be killing me in those shoes and I wouldn't be able to concentrate on my shopping list!

I was thinking the same thing! I could never shop in those shoes! I want to be comfortable. I remember reading a post from SJP saying something about her feet killing her during the Sex and The City series from the heels she had to wear. Wonder why she would put herself through the same pain to go shopping?

I think she spend a good few more hours on the set of SATC filming scenes than going shopping. She has one bag, come on, how long does it take you to get those few bits. Flat shoes with this outfit would make the dress look dowdy and provincial. You cannot not wear high heels with this dress. I think she looks fab. My heart opens everytime I see SJP... she's such a sexy woman and I wish I had her in my circle of friends. She always seems just so nice!

Vera, while the rest of the country is enjoying late spring, here on the west coast of Canada we are having the worst spring ever. It has been cold, breaking 50 year temp records, and wet. We have had a few nice days but those are quickly forgotten when you have to stop to think about putting on an extra layer before leaving for work in the morning.

I will trade you the heat for the never ending rain we have in calgary right now. I am worried I will have to build an ark if it keeps up much longer!

Audrey and Lisa B. - feeling you. Here in the upper midwest, the weather is horrible. It's June 11th and I just went into my bedroom to put on slippers and a sweatshirt. I'd love at least a few days of that kind of heat!

Summers in NYC are hell on earth. Literally. Its ****in disgusting, unlike anything I have ever experienced. I was just in Mexico for a week and I landed in JFK at 11pm and it was 15 degrees hotter then Mexico PLUS the disgusting humidity that we have here in NYC. To top it off NYC is dirty, polluted and over crowded NOT a pleasant place to be when its 105 degrees out. It actually hit 106 at my house yesterday. Thanks but no thanks.

I always knew she was little, but she looks teeny tiny in these pictures.

When you weigh like 12 lbs... you don't so much feel the heat. Makes it easier to walk in heels too.

I don't get the attraction at all!!! She is just another scrawny actress. I hope she is watching the COBBLESTONES!!! Hello??? Why would you walk on cobblestones in high heels, LOL.

I think flat sandals would look perfect with this dress and also be more comfortable for shopping.
